Colaco called for his team to stay on their guard when they take on Sporting Clube de Goa in their second round I-League match at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda...

Dempo coach Armando Colaco has stated that his side need to be very cautious against Sporting Clube de Goa when the two sides face off in their I-League encounter at the Nehru Stadium,Fatorda on Friday. Dempo had won their opening game against Churchill Brothers while Sporting drew with East Bengal.

"I was amazed the way Sporting played East Bengal without any of their foreign players. They have a lot of spunk and are energetic. They will come hard at us. We have to be extra cautious against them," said Colaco to the Navhind Times.

"My players should not take this game lightly. Sporting are a dangerous team and against East Bengal, they demonstrated that they could match anyone even if they do not have any foreign player on the field," added Armando.

Sporting are on a high after their draw with East Bengal and are confident of a top performance against defending champions, Dempo SC too.

"We were worried in the opening match but now that the boys have proved themselves, they will feel much more confident and relieved. I'm sure we can perform in the same manner against Dempo," said Technical Director Alex Alvares.

"We do not feel the need to make any changes (to the lineup from the previous game). The boys are capable of upsetting the odds," he added.
