The experienced coach stated that while the expectations are high from the management, he shall be in a position to judge only after having a word with the players...Subhas Bhowmick has recently been appointed as the technical director of Churchill Brothers SC and the former East Bengal coach believes that it's a little too early for him to make definite statements on the road ahead for the Goan club.
"They (Churchill Brothers) have invited me with a lot of passion, so I have come," said Bhowmick. "I saw only one [Goa league] match after which I went to Kolkata."
Bhowmick arrived back to Goa after which he accompanied head coach Carlos Parreira for a training session on Sunday, but preferred not to talk about the squad.
"Until I rate the players, I cannot say anything. I have to see the players, I have to talk to them and have to see their reaction. Let me watch the boys for a few days, then only I can say something," he reasoned.
Been brought in at an important juncture in the I-League title race, Bhowmick does not feel a stranger to the club's expectation to do well.
"Management's expectation is there everywhere. All over the world, everyone expects that their team should do well, so it is here also [at Churchill Brothers].
"No football club will expect their club to be bad because they have spent money. They have built the team with their passion, so the expectation is always high. Even HAL [Bangalore] and Pailan Arrows will expect their team to do well," he said.
