Pune FC coach Derrick Pereira admits that he is not sure how will the Premier League Soccer (PLS) run without I-League and national team players.

"To tell you the truth, I don't know how they are going to have it. Without the I-League players, without the national players, I don't know how it is going to happen.

"Which are the Indian players?," he went on to ask, and conceded that he is not aware of the the aim of the PLS while comparing the same to the IPL.

"I have not gone deep to know much about the PLS. I don't know what their aim is. What will be the quality of football... I can't say much about it," Pereira exclaimed.

"If you're going to compare it with the IPL, I-League and national players should have been playing. I don't know how people will respond to it," he added.

The former Mahindra United man also remains quizzed so as to how many people will come to watch the 'ICON' players in the PLS.

"How many people are going to watch the one or two 'star' players, but if you go to see, it's a good opportunity for others to get in."

Coming back to the topic of the I-League, the coach believes that his team is in a 'tough' position.

"It's tough. One or two wins and you're there. It can go in any direction."

Pune FC have set up their camp in Shillong and will face Shillong Lajong FC in a round 17 clash of the I-League on Saturday.

On Jeje’s absence, he added, "He’s been part of the team since long and needed rest and this lay off period should do him a world good to comeback strong mentally."
