Mohun Bagan coach Prasanta Banerjee has revealed that Sunil Chhetri could be available for their next I-League encounter against Prayag United on Sunday.

"Sunil Chhetri may be joining for our next match against Prayag United on the 22nd [January]," said the 53-year-old.

Although the Green and Maroon lost three points in their last match against Sporting Clube de Goa, the former's tactician was unperturbed.

"We are not worried to lose this game. We still have 11 more matches and we are still very much in the title race," stated Banerjee.

"Odafa [Okolie] was not fit because he had a stomach upset. He started feeling sick last night at around two, I think because of food," he added.

He continued, "[Syed] Nabi was also injured almost from the beginning of the game. He got a cut in his mouth and had to be hospitalised. Our midfield zone was also not working.

"Jewel Raja was also injured as he pulled his hamstring in the last match. We are hoping that Odafa recovers before the next match. I don't know about Nabi's condition."

Prasanta Banerjee wasn't too pleased with the match officials and lashed out at the Kerala-based referee C.R.Shrikrishna for not protecting his players against the Goan outfit.

"Sometimes, their (SC Goa) stopper-backs were hitting Odafa intentionally, but referee was not showing card. Two-to-three other players were also hitting [my players], but the referee was avoiding showing a card."
