I-League: Densill Is A Good Replacement For Beto – Dempo SC’s Armando Colaco
The Goan coach was pleased with the performance of their new recruit and believes that he shall play a key role in the remainder of the season…

Armando Colaco, the coach of Dempo SC, was all praise after Densill Theobald played a crucial role in his side’s 3-1 victory over Air India.
The Mumbai-based side had earlier shocked the Goan giants earlier in the season and as part of their ‘mission revenge’, they managed to get the better of the opposition with considerable ease. Much of the credit for the same would go to their new signing Densill Theobald.
“I was happy with our football. Densill came in and made a big difference. He needs to adjust to the game but you could see that he really helped us today.”
“Densill is a good replacement for Beto. He understands and reads the game well like Beto.”
“When Cristiano Junior died, we bought Beto, who had the same leadership skills. When he left, I needed the same kind of leader and Densill is the perfect fit.”
“It was frustrating not to have Densill for the past few months. But he has trained with us all this while and he has gelled in well with the squad. I hope he continues like that,” said Colaco.
Air India’s Pawan Kumar pulled off several saves in the first half and Colaco spoke highly of the young custodian.
“Air India are a dangerous outfit and I am happy with the result and also the performance, which was more in keeping with our games earlier in the season.”
“Their goalkeeper made a big difference. I would love to take him for our team. Not only was he a great shot-stopper but he also played as a good sweeper. His saves were brilliant and its was just some great goalkeeping by him,” he concluded.
