We Deserved Three Points Against Pune FC - East Bengal's Trevor Morgan
Trevor Morgan bemoans the lack of consistency shown by referees as he feels that his team were robbed of a clear penalty.....

East Bengal’s winless streak was extended to three games, as they failed to break the deadlock against Pune FC and ended up sharing the spoils with their hosts.
Trevor Morgan though, felt that his team deserved to win the match. He explained, “Probably Pune FC edged the first half, but we created far more chances in the second half and should have had a clear-cut penalty. Tolgay (Ozbey) had gone past Abhra Mondal and should have been awarded a penalty or else sent-off if the referee felt he had dived.”
“Sanju Pradhan got pulled back twice by the same player (Caitano Costa). He (Costa) got booked the first time but nothing the second time, when he made the same offence. So all we are asking for is some consistency. Overall we deserved to win this game,” he added.
The former Bolton player however still was content with the result and felt it was a good point against a very competent team. He stated, “We take it as a point gained against Pune FC. After the week we have had, it is a good result. We edged the match in my opinion and considering that Pune FC defeated Mohun Bagan in their last home game and we have a couple of home games coming up, I would not consider this a bad result.”
The British coach also felt that his team had played with discipline and was satisfied with their performance. He said, “We were excellent tactically in the game. I have great faith in the boys, we had a bad week but the second half performance was great.”
Over the rumours about the club having signed a new forward, Morgan exclaimed, “Well according to several news portals we have already signed a forward, only that I haven’t heard of him! As of now there has been no movement over a new signing yet.”
