The experienced coach could possibly guide the India U-23 side for the tour to UK…The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has terminated the association with Desmond Bulpin after they weren’t pleased with his “style of play.”
It is believed that the British coach met AIFF general secretary Kushal Das earlier this week and the decision of the Indian FA was made known to him.
Bulpin was the coach of the Indian Arrows, now known as the Pailan Arrows, and also guided the India U-23 side in the Pre-Olympic Qualifiers.
His name was suggested by former national coach Bob Houghton given that Bulpin had experience working at the youth level with Premier League outfits. Amongst his famous protégés is current England international Peter Crouch.
Trouble started between the two parties when before the Pre-Olympic qualifier against Qatar, the Indian FA suggested for a practice match but Bulpin allegedly refused.
It is now believed that Sukhwinder Singh is the candidate to lead the youngsters for the tour to England where they shall play Pakistan, England U-23 and Scotland U-21.
