Mohun Bagan Gets A New Sponsor For 2010-11 Season

The century-old club gets a much-needed financial boost...

Mohun Bagan on Monday announced their association with a big business houses in Bengal, the I Core E-Services Group. The company which has agreed to become co-sponsor for the Green and Maroons, will give special attention to building infrastructure at the club.

I Core Group’s CEO Mr. Anukul Maity has also been named as the new Vice President of Bagan after his association with the club. Speaking to the media while announcing this partnership, Mr.Maity said, “I am a very big football lover. More than cricket I relate myself to football. In Bengal, Mohun Bagan is a big brand and we are happy to be a part of the Mohun Bagan family.”

The company which has more than 15 products under their umbrella had roped in Bhaichung Bhutia as their Brand Ambassador a few months back.

Mohun Bagan Secretary Mr Anjan Mitra sounded very positive about the move and mentioned, “We are feeling very happy to welcome I Core Group to our family. With I Core’s support we plan to reach the highest level of football in our country.”

The corporate major has vowed to work closely to build the infrastructure of the club with special attention to build more academies and training centres in rural parts of the country to breed more local talent.

I Core group has also added that they will soon add Mohun Bagan players Jose Barreto and Edeh Chidi to their Brand Ambassadors list which includes popular names like Karishma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty and Virender Sehwag.
