No more games in hot weather please...

Speaking to Goal.com, the Indian international said, “Once we reached the team hotel by bus, I couldn’t get down due to exhaustion. I just couldn’t walk. I have never felt like this in my life. After visiting the hospital, the doctor put me on glucose (intravenous fluids).”
The hot and humid weather of Calicut got to Dempo players and adjusting to the difficult conditions was one of the major factors which affected them, according to Anwar.
“After the warm-up only, we felt like the game was over. We were sweating a lot add to that, no more proper dressing rooms,” said Anwar.
On being asked that the hot and humid conditions are present in Goa as well, the defender stated that in Kerala it was way beyond the capacity to tolerate.
“This is was just too much. I wonder how will teams play when they come here in April or May?” added Anwar.
Dempo didn’t have the best of games and Anwar mentioned that the home team made the most of their home advantage. Their lead at the top could be cut short to a point if Mahindra are to win the Mumbai derby against Air India.
“Everyday something is happening in the I-League, some upset win. We have to capitalise on our home advantage and give our best. This is just a one-off loss for us and we will come back stronger against Salgaocar,” said Anwar.
