I-League: Mohun Bagan-Churchill Brothers Game Postponed
The I-League shall restart only on Friday...
The I-League was supposed to kick-off today at the Salt Lake Stadium with Mohun Bagan hosting current I-League champions, Churchill Brothers.
Speaking to Goal.com, the IFA assistant secretary, Rabin Ghosh said, “The police informed us this morning that they will be busy as the Prime Minister is expected to arrive. If they would have informed us yesterday, we could have shifted the game to Barasat Stadium. We will sit later in the day to discuss as to when we can play the game.”
The Indian PM shall visit ailing Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader, Jyoti Basu who is on a ventilator and is in a critical condition. The 95 year old leader is admitted at the AMRI Hospital at the Salt Lake.
