I-League To Resume From January 7

The second phase of I-League is set to resume next month...

Following the change in the Federation Cup fixtures, the I-League is set to resume on January 7, with all the state associations now being asked to confirm the availability of grounds.

The I-League committee met on Wednesday to discuss the fixtures list with Indian FA president, Praful Patel chairing the meeting with members of the various local organising committees (LOC) or state associations being present.

With the AFC Challenge Cup to held between February 16-26, there will be a camp held prior to that starting February 2. Meanwhile, the dates for the next Executive Committee meeting is to be conducted on January 16 wherein national coach Bob Houghton is expected to share his vision for the senior and junior national teams, a day after the secretaries of a few state associations shall gather to discuss about next year’s schedule with the Indian FA.

The plan for the Goal 2011 plan isn’t ready yet as there will be further discussions on the topic in the New Year.
