I-League: We Have A Lot Of Respect For Churchill – Dempo’s Mahesh Gawli
The Indian international feels that his side will have a tough game on Sunday…
Speaking to Goal.com he said, “Every game is a must win for us as we want to win the title so our sole aim is to take three points from this game. It is going to be a difficult game so we must come up with a good performance.”
A win for Dempo would also give them a five point gap over Churchill but Gawli still doesn’t feel that it would be decisive as he rates the defending champions highly.
“Three points against Churchill will be a massive result for us but it would not be the end of the world for them.
“Even after this game there will be a lot to play for so I am sure Churchill will keep fighting till the end. We have a lot of respect for them as a they are a very strong side so we have to be at our best on Sunday.”
The defender though will not be available for this game as he still hasn’t recovered from his injury and he isn’t sure of getting ready for the national camp also, which begins on November 15th in Goa.
“It’s disappointing that I will miss this big clash and I am not sure whether I can be hundred percent fit for the national camp also,” concluded a worried Mahesh Gawli.
