Following the 2-2 draw at Cooperage on Wednesday evening, Khalid Jamil couldn't get his desired result as his side were held to a third successive draw. The new coach believed that his side had it in them what's needed to win a game.

"I thought of a win. Air India are a good side but you have seen that we were better."

The former Air India player spoke of the goals scored in the game by both sides and hinted at his displeasure with the officiating.

"The first goal was a handball but I am not complaining as these things happen in a game. The second goal they scored was a good one. The referee didn't blow the penalty on the first occasion (Vijith Shetty handball) and he was in two minds whether to blow his whistle for the second as he kept delaying it."

With three points in their bag from five matches, Mumbai FC have improved after a poor display in their first game against Dempo earlier this month.

"We are improving as a side. It's not been long since we have been playing together but I'm sure with each day, things will improve," said the former Indian international.
