After having a good season at Chirag the former East Bengal midfielder wants to join the Mariners but has faced problems from Chirag in doing so.

He took IFA’s help in the matter who reportedly had given him the green signal to play for the club he wants but Snehashish told Goal.com that he was still awaiting a final decision from the local association.

He said, “Yes I want to sign for Mohun Bagan but Chirag want me to stay so I took help from the IFA (Indian Football Association).

“They (IFA) will fix a final date and call me to sort out the issue completely.”

Snehashish will also be a part of Raghu Nandy’s Bengal squad for the Santosh Trophy and said that he was looking forward to the competition.

“I have been training myself but I am yet to join the Bengal squad. Santosh Trophy is a prestigious tournament so I am looking forward to it.”

The 63rd Santosh Trophy starts later this month in Tamil Nadu.
