I-League: FIFA Prez Congratulates Churchill Brothers

Churchill Brothers have been relishing the fruits of their hard work by winning the I-League which has caught the notice of FIFA president Sepp Blatter who congratulated the Goan side for their maiden triumph.

In a letter addressed to Churchill Brothers president Joaquim Alemao, Blatter stated, “It is with great pleasure that I send my congratulations to you, as well as your club Churchill Brothers for winning the Indian league.

“Please convey my warmest wishes to all your players, your head coach Zoran, the medical and technical staff and all the teams’ loyal supporters, as each part of this organisation have been instrumental in the club’s success.

“On behalf of the entire football family of FIFA, I thank you for the excitement you bring to fans of the beautiful game and I wish you and your organization much success in the years to come.”

Indeed, Churchill Brothers played the best football in the I-League and truly deserved to win.
