Having won two trophies in the form of Kolkata League and Federation Cup and keeping the hopes of his team alive in the I-League and the AFC Cup, coach Karim Bencherifa has had a dream season with the Green and Maroons.

Amongst the entire buzz around him, Karim Bencherifa gave his valuable time and mentioned the importance of new media.

“Why is football in Kolkata so interesting? It’s because of the large fan base and the interest in the game. The fans come to the stadiums to see their players in action and in the training sessions.

“Website is a place just for the fans and players. This would help enlarge the fan base and the general level of interest of football in India. Why? As the players whose websites have been launched are the main anchors of the I-League.”
