The Bavarians can move 13 points clear of second-placed Bayern Leverkusen by triumphing at the Mercedes-Benz Arena
Philipp Lahm has admitted that Bayern Munich would have an almost unassailable lead at the top of the Bundesliga should they win at Stuttgart on Wednesday night.
The Bavarians currently sit 10 points clear of Bayern Leverkusen ahead of their game in hand at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
"[It is a] huge opportunity to extend our lead," Lahm told Kicker. "Then it would be hard to catch us."
Bayern's current position is made all the more impressive by the fact that they have been plagued by injuries this season.
Lahm believes that once coach Pep Guardiola has a full squad to choose from, they could actually move up a gear, though the Bayern captain feels that doing so will only be possible if every player gives his all for the common good.
"We have a mega squad, and if all come back, each player must know that he needs to maintain his performance at Bayern, whether in training or in a game," the versatile full-back warned.
"We always talk of harmony and a good atmosphere, but we will see now when everyone is fit. Then, everyone must think only of the team."
