The Manchester City striker and his wife, Giannina Maradona, separated in January and the former couple's four-year-old son, Ben, has taken up residence with his mother in Buenos Aires.
The legendary Argentine could not hide his anger towards his countryman after alleged recent statements from Aguero in a meeting with attorneys.
"He told Giannina: 'I don't fear anyone,'" Maradona claimed to Metro Radio. "In the next meeting with the lawyers I want to be with my daughter to see if he has balls to say what he said to her [again].
"I'm really angry. He's a wimp. He knew that I was in Dubai, that's why he went to that meeting."
