Brazil stars Neymar and Thiago Silva have made the the 23-man shortlist for the 2013 Fifa Ballon d'Or.
Selecao coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is also in line for an award after being named amongst the top 10 trainers for the Fifa World Coach of the Year award.
Barcelona forward Neymar and PSG defender Thiago Silva both played integral roles as Brazil romped to Confederations Cup glory over the summer after Felipao succeeded former coach Mano Menezes and led the side to glory on home soil.
The final decisions will be made by the captains and head coaches of the men’s national teams as well as international media representatives selected by France Football.
In early December 2013, Fifa and France Football will announce the names of the three who have received the most votes in each category.
The winners of the award will be revealed at the Fifa Ballon d’Or gala as part of a televised show at the Zurich Kongresshaus on 13 January 2014.
