Eredivisie: PSV lose top spot despite instant Park impact

Surprise leaders Zwolle won 2-0 against Cambuur, Roda thrash ADO Den Haag, and NEC got their first points of the season

PSV lost their status as Eredivisie leaders to Zwolle as Phillip Cocu's men were held to a 1-1 draw by Heracles.

The Almelo side have never beaten the giants from Eindhoven, but came within five minutes of a memorable victory after Lerin Duarte gave them a sixth-minute lead.

With just four minutes of normal time remaining, however, they were denied as Park Ji-Sung latched onto Stijn Schaars' pass and turned his man before scrambling home to rescue a point.

Zwolle, meanwhile, went top with a 2-0 win at home to Cambuur on Saturday.

Guyon Fernandez came off the bench to give Zwolle the lead at the IJsseldelta Stadion, while Rochdi Achenteh wrapped up the result nine minutes later from the penalty spot.

Ron Jans watched on in delight as his side kept their first clean sheet of the season and earned their fourth win in as many games.

NEC got their first point of the season to clamber from the foot of the table thanks to a 2-2 draw at home to RKC Waalwijk.

English striker Michael Higdon netted his first goals for the club, both from the penalty spot, since a close-season move from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell to give the hosts a chance of victory.

But two goals in the space of seven second-half minutes from Sander Duits, another penalty, and Aurelien Joachim rescued a result for Waalwijk, against an NEC side, who have now conceded 16 goals from their first four games of the season.

Elsewhere, Roda JC thrashed ADO Den Haag 4-0 at the Kyocera Stadion.

Kees Luijckx and Henk Dijkhuizen put Ruud Brood's side in control at the break, and they did not relent in the second period with Mark-Jan Fledderus and Mitchell Donald adding gloss to the result.
