Del Bosque: Spain brimming with confidence ahead of Confederations Cup

The successful coach believes his side have what it takes to go far at this summer's competition and feels they have plenty of options
Vicente del Bosque says Spain are brimming with confidence ahead of the Confederations Cup following their wins over Haiti and Republic of Ireland.

The reigning European and world champions beat Haiti 2-1, while recording a 2-0 victory over the Irish and Del Bosque believes they are now in better shape than before their friendly tour.

"Physically we are better - and, in fact, better now than when we came. We head to Brazil in good shape. There is a good atmosphere in the team and the players are relaxed after such an intense season," Del Bosque was quoted as saying on the official Fifa website.

"We are confident, but we have to pay attention to all our opponents in the Confederations Cup, because they are all good sides.

"Everyone in this squad is very good, every player is a regular starter for their respective clubs, and we have a very difficult task in choosing the best players from a great group. We have many options and they are all good ones."

Spain start the Confederations Cup with a match against Uruguay on June 16.
