Thiago Silva: Ligue 1 title not won yet
The Brazil international is pleased with his side's progress in the Champions League but wants his team-mates to show the same form domestically
Thiago Silva is confident Paris Saint-Germain can lift the Ligue 1 title, but says the race for the league crown is far from over.It has been 18 years since les Parisiens claimed the domestic title in France and the former AC Milan star believes Carlo Ancelotti's side are on course to end that barren spell this season, with the club four points clear of nearest rivals Olympique Lyonnais.
"It's been a long time since the club won the championship. We are doing well so far, but, it is not finished yet," Silva was quoted by le 10 Sport.
"There are two teams chasing us, Marseille and Lyon, who are also doing well. We just have to continue as we are because we are on the right path."
The centre-back then stressed his concerns that he and his team-mates had been guilty of not delivering the same quality of performance domestically as they have in the Champions League this season.
"We need to be careful because we play like two different teams," he added.
"In the Champions League the team has a face completely different from that displayed in Ligue 1. But we must put in mind that the championship is also important."
