Ancelotti praises Pastore attitude
The Argentine has been linked with a move back to Serie A after an inconsistent season, but his coach is delighted with his recent efforts
Carlo Ancelotti is pleased with the way Javier Pastore has responded over the last two games for Paris Saint-Germain.The 23-year-old has endured an inconsistent season so far and there were even reports linking him with a move away from the Parc de Princes, but his recent form and surge in confidence has drawn plaudits from the Italian.
"It is hard to say," he admitted to RMCsport.
"He has changed his attitude. He has regained confidence and it has helped him. Maybe his new position has given him a sense of freedom. He has played the last two games and done very well.
"Pastore has never thought of leaving, he is an important player for the club. In football, there are difficult times and the important thing is the reaction. His response to the situation has, to his credit, been very good."
The playmaker has made 12 Ligue 1 appearances this term, featured in all of les Parisiens' Champions League games and added another four outings in other cup competitions, scoring three goals.
Pastore joined the club from Palermo in 2011.
