Ajax will resume talks with Ismail Aissati in the coming days, with the Dutch side set to offer the midfielder a three-year contract, according to a report in Algemeen Dagblad.
Aissati made 19 appearances for the Eredivisie champions last season, scoring two goals, after returning from a loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem.
The 23 year-old has made no secret of his desire to quit the Amsterdam ArenA at the end of his contract, which runs out at the ewnd of June, having already rejected a contract offer.
The report also states that Vitesse are willing to make a bid for the Morocco international, although his current club Ajax have begun extension talks.
"That [contract] proposal is under consideration," Aissati's agent was quoted as saying in the report.
Frank de Boer's side finished the Eredivisie campaign in first place, qualifying for next season's Champions League.
