The former Arsenal man revealed that he has been trying to persuade his fellow Ivorian to join him in Istanbul after a successful first season in the Super Lig

Galatasaray defender Emmanuel Eboue revealed that he has told Didier Drogba all about life at the Istanbul club.

The Chelsea striker has been linked with a move to the Super Lig outfit in recent times, and Eboue has admitted that he would love to see Drogba join him in Turkey.

"I'm very happy here," Eboue told Galatasaray TV. "I would like another African player to join us. I've told Drogba a lot about life here, but I don't know what will happen in the future."

"Taking the Uefa Cup in 2000 by beating Arsenal shows how big of a club Galatasaray are. I searched the Internet, read the newspapers, and I decided to come here.

"Our direction has been very important to me since the first day."

Meanwhile, Eboue has also admitted that he would like another Ivorian at Chelsea, Salomon Kalou, to join him at Galatasaray, and vowed to make every effort to persuade his compatriot to move to the Super Lig.

"I would love to play alongside him," he told NTV Spor. "It made me very happy to come to Galatasaray. I'll do my best and persuade him to come here. After that, it's in the club's hands," he told NTV Spor.

He also urged the club to make a permanent move for Juventus misfit Felipe Melo, who developed into an integral member of the team in his year on loan at the Turk Telekom Arena.

"He's very valuable to the team. This season he scored goals was very critical on the road to being champions. He's like a brother to me.

"Many people think bad things about his character, but he's a very good person. I pray to God that the club keep Melo. That would be great for the team.

Eboue won the Turkish Super Lig in his first season at Galatasaray, scoring three goals in 31 league appearances.
