Ghana FA: No assistant coach for Black Stars yet

The football regulatory body of the west African country in consultation with Kwesi Appiah will announce an assistant Black Stars coach shortly
The Ghana Football Association has assured Ghanaians that consultation processes are ongoing to name suitable back-room staff for the Black Stars.

The FA in a statement said no assistant coach has been named, yet contrary to reports in the local media.

The coach of league giants Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu, has been highly tipped to become new coach Kwesi Appiah’s assistant, but the FA said it will name the appropriate person in due course.

“We have not finished the process of naming an assistant coach to Kwesi Appiah yet,” the GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi said.

“The GFA in consultation with Kwesi Appiah will name the back-room staff.”
