thumbnail Hello,

The 33-year-old is hopeful that the Netherlands international will return to his former club this summer as he feels the midfielder will fit in superbly at the Boeren

PSV defender Wilfred Bouma is of the opinion that AC Milan's Mark van Bommel would be the perfect addition to the Eindhoven side's squad.

The Netherlands international has an expiring contract at the Rossoneri and the Boeren's sporting director Marcel Brands confirmed earlier this month that the Eredivisie giants have made the midfielder an offer.

The 34-year-old has yet to make a decision on his future, but Bouma feels that Van Bommel is exacty what PSV need and hopes that the player will return to Eindhoven this summer.

"He [Van Bommel] is exactly the player we need," Bouma said to Eredivisie Live.

"Why he would be perfect for PSV? Simply because he's Van Bommel. He has always had an excellent mentality and is a real leader."

Van Bommel previously played at PSV from 1999 until 2005, winning four Eredivisie titles and one KNVB Beker.
