Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that AC Milan attacker Alexandre Pato is still a transfer target for the Ligue 1 leaders, but added that they have not spoken with the Brazil international yet.

The gifted attacker was believed to be close to joining PSG in the January transfer window, but the move eventually fell through when Milan decided not to sell after all.

"I have not spoken with Pato. Milan did not want to sell and that was the end of it. A pre-agreement for June? There is no agreement," Ancelotti was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Our top priority is a forward, but Pato is not the only candidate. He is an attacker of the highest calibre, but we're also keeping tabs on [Internacional star] Damiao."

Ancelotti then went on to discuss the situation of Real Madrid playmaker Kaka, and stated that he would welcome the midfielder with open arms.

"If Real Madrid decide to sell him [Kaka], we will give it a try and see what's possible. We always have room for someone like him. He's not a priority for us though as we already have Javier Pastore and Jeremy Menez in his position."

The PSG boss then reflected on his side's attempts to sign Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez in January, and stressed that the Argentine's wage demands were too much for Paris Saint-Germain.

"We were unable to reach an agreement with Tevez. That should be a signal to everybody; we're not throwing around our money."

PSG did secure the services of Thiago Motta, Alex and Maxwell in the winter transfer window.
