Bayern Munich Star Franck Ribery Set For Comeback
The French winger could return to match action this weekend...
Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal will be able to field French winger Franck Ribery again for the first time in two and a half months in next weekend's Bundesliga clash against Hertha Berlin.
"He's better than ever because he can train without pain," said the Dutchman at a press conference. "However, we will not take any risks, so he'll probably only feature for a couple of minutes."
"When Ribery plays, the competition in the Bundesliga isn't very strong anymore. Without him we already won 5-1 at Bochum," smiled the former Barcelona coach.
"Mentally, I've had a difficult time," Ribery added to German magazine Sport Bild recently. "Everything annoyed me. I'd had enough of being constantly in pain, when I was driving or even when I was just sitting down."
The France star had been plagued by a patella tendon problem for the last two months.
