Tottenham Hotspur Chase Bayern Munich Defender Christian Lell – Report
The German defender appears to be on his way to England...
According to a report in Kicker, Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring the situation of Bayern Munich defender Christian Lell.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is apparently keen to add some more depth to his squad and has supposedly made Lell one of his primary targets to strengthen his defence.
The 24-year-old is no longer needed at Bayern because of the arrival of Danijel Pranjic and Edson Braafheid earlier this summer and was recently banished to the reserves.
Lell is a product of the Bayern youth academy, but he has failed to make an impact in the first team in the past couple of years.
Bayern have yet to set an asking price for the full-back, but they are very unlikely to frustrate a transfer if the opportunity to move Lell on arises.
