Brazilian striker Nenê, who is making a big impression in the Portuguese league, is apparently on the Gunners' radar.English tabloid newspaper The Sun is claiming that Arsenal are chasing Nacional da Madeira striker Nenê.
The 25-year-old arrived at the Estádio da Madeira from Cruzeiro last summer and has been a sensation, scoring 14 goals in 17 games to become the league's top-scorer.
Nenê's performances have not gone unnoticed, with Benfica allegedly interested in his signature.
But new reports claim that the Eagles will have to fend off interest from Arsenal to win the race for the Brazilian striker - who is contracted to Nacional until 2010.
Arsène Wenger is believed to have dispatched scouts to watch Nenê in action during last weekend's 3-0 win over Vitória de Guimarães.
Arsenal could make a move for Nenê in the summer, with the striker reportedly eager for a move away from Nacional to further his career.
