Poll Results: Who Is The Best Manager In World Football?
The poll on the world's best football manager saw a record number of votes cast on the website, however, there's nothing surprising about the results!
Goal.com got a fantastic response from all over India for the poll "Who Is The Best Manager In World Football?", which saw several thousand people vote over the past ten days. We picked Sir Alex Ferguson as the favourite to win the poll, and guess what?
It is Sir Alex Ferguson who can be crowned the best manager in the world, according to all of India! However, it wasn't a landslide victory of any sorts, as he faced stiff competition from his long-time rival Arsene Wenger, who finished a very close second. In fact, Wenger had taken a big lead during the first day or two, after which Ferguson clawed back to gain the advantage!
However, one surprising aspect of the poll was that none of the other contenders got any substantial votes! Finishing third was Jose Mourinho, who received less than one-seventh of Wenger's votes! The rest can count as "negligible", as they received next to nothing! It was expected as the other managers aren't as well known in India, but some good research might have altered the final results just a little bit.
However, India has spoken! Here are the official results:
