Nepal: Three Star Edge NPC

A solitary goal from Yugal Kishor Rai in the 33rd minute of the second half gave Three Star victory over 10-men NPC. Prabin Karki supplied the pass to Rai, who dribbled past two NPC defenders and sloted the ball past golie Ritesh Thapa from left bar into the post.

NPC was reduced to 10 men as Parbat Pandey was sent off in 24th minutes of second half after being penalised with two yellow cards for his foul attempt against rival players. All Nepal Football President, Ganesh Thapa, who also played the charity match for 29th minute had many chance to score for Three Star.

A-strong 5000 spectators cheered up both teams but Nabil Three was emerged as the winner. The Man of the Match title was awarded to Yugal Kishor Rai while Best Forward title went to Jumanu Rai of NPC, Best Defense went to Robin Shrestha of NPC, Best Goal Keeper was given to Kiran Chemjong of Three Star and Best Mid Fielder was handed to Bijaya Gurung of Three Star.  

The friendly was organised by Patan Jaycees for the flood victim of East & West of Nepal.

 Meanwhile, Three Star laid the foundation stone for the Three Star Business Complex here at Lagankhel, Lalitpur. The complex, aimed to be completed in three years at the cost of Rs 24.7 million, will have a six-storey building accomodating 20 commercial shops to be built on the 4,700 square feet land owned by Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City.

Nabil Three Star Club, an ‘A’ Division football outfit, acquired the land on lease for 23 years. President of the club, Lalit Krishna Shrestha, thanked everyone who have helped the club gain such a reputation. The club also honoured the players and coaches who won the Governer’s Gold Cup in Sikkim, India recently.
