AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has hinted that the club are unlikely to resurrect their bid to sign Manchester City's Carlos Tevez in the summer.

The Rossoneri did their utmost to sign the Argentina international last month, only to admit defeat the Friday before the transfer window closed.

There has been speculation that Milan might try again at the end of the season but when quizzed by reporters on the issue on Monday evening, Galliani appeared to suggest that the deal was now officially dead.

"Tevez? I do not know, some things pass and then do not come back," he told reporters at a Gruppo Lombardi Giornalisti Sportivi (GLGS) awards ceremony in Milan.

After failing to agree a deal with City for Tevez, the reigning Italian champions instead signed another Argentine, Maxi Lopez, from Catania.
