Esteban Cambiasso has conceded that Inter were no match for Roma in Sunday's Serie A contest.

Inter coach Claudio Ranieri endured a frustrating return to the Stadio Olimpico as he watched Roma dominate from the first whistle to cruise to an emphatic 4-0 victory.

"Sometimes we have been lucky to win a match, while other times we have played more or less at the same level as our opponent," Cambiasso explained in quotes published by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"And it has happened that we have lost matches in which the opposing goalkeeper was the man of the mach, like against Lecce.

"But Roma were superior to us in all aspects of the game."

Inter are two points above Roma in fifth place, but Ranieri's side could still be caught up by the Giallorossi as the capital club have 27 minutes of their game against Catania, which was abandoned midway through the second half due to bad weather with the score at 1-1, to complete.
