E. Mayuka 78'
Full time in Bata. Zambia are through to the final! A goal from Emmanuel Mayuka in the second half shocks the Black Stars of Ghana. Thank you for joining us on Goal.com! Stay tuned for coverage of Mali vs Cote d'Ivoire!
90' + 2'
Zambia are under the cosh but a a foul on Mweene takes all the pressure off. That should be it now. An incredible smash and grab!
Terrific defending from Zambia! The corner kick comes in and the Zambians make a serious of heroic blocks in the penalty area before clearing!!
Very dodgy defending from Chansa! The Zambian started dribbling back to his own goal in the penalty area and Kwadwo Asamoah robbed him before having his cross blocked!
Final throw of the dice for Ghana as Andre Ayew comes off to be replaced by Sulley Muntari. Just under five minutes plus injury time for Ghana to save their final dream!
Very poor pass from Vorsah as Inkoom was in plenty of space down the right. The substitute drove forward but his pass was extremely over-hit an the pressure is took completely off Zambia for the time being.
Yellow/Red D. Boateng
Derek Boateng is sent off for Ghana! Second bookable offence for the midfielder as he trips up Chansa on the half-way line as Zambia counterattacked! That did look slightly harsh!
Ghana look completely shell shocked! The Zambia players have even started to showboat! Perhaps not the best course of action but the fans are loving it!
Assist Isaac Chansa
Goal Emmanuel Mayuka
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR ZAMBIA!!!! Emmanuel Mayuka scores!!! Completely against the run of play the substitute finds space just outside the area and curls a shot off the right-hand post and in! 1-0 to the Copper Bullets!
Ghana have had the best of the game so far but they must be very careful not to become complacent as Zambia look to be ready to counterattack.
15 minutes of play left. Can either side win the match before extra time?
Andrew Ayew down now after a challenge from Musanda. Ghana have made two changes after Gyan came off for Prince Tagoe. It looks like Ayew will shake it off but he is still slightly limping.
Ghana were temporarily down to ten men but now Isaac Vorsah has came on to replace John Mensah. A big blow for the Black Stars for the remainder of the match as their defensive stalwart comes off.
John Mensah having trouble with an injury at the moment. No player was near him and it looked innocuous but he has to come off with injury.
Yellow Card Isaac Chansa
Absolutely crunching challenge from Chansa that earns a yellow card. Four players now on booking at the moment.
Great chance again for Ghana!!! Inkoom delivers from the right to the back post and Gyan leaps up high again but headers wide from inside the six yard box! He was under pressure from Mweene but he should have scored!
Yellow Card D. Boateng
Same situation again for Ghana, a free kick from the right. Ayew again steps up and curls the ball to the near post but Zambia clear again. Poor delivery. Ghana have not made the most of all these set-piece opportunities.
Another free kick opportunity for Ghana, this time from the right. Andre Ayew whips it in to the six yard box and Gyan jumps highest but cannot direct his header at goal and it goes out for a Zambia goal kick.
Jordan Ayew receives the ball on the left-hand side and attempts to jink in and out before attempting a spectacular curler into the top right corner but it goes far over the crossbar.
Andre Ayew picks the pocket of Kalaba and goes on a twisting run into the box but ultimately finds himself crowded out and Zambia manage to clear the ball to safety.
The second half has been a much more even affair so far. Zambia have crept into the match and are looking more confident in their passing.
Good play from Ghana. Boateng drives forward and slides the ball out to Addy on the left who sends a ball up the line for Gyan. The Ghana forward holds the ball up well before giving it back to Boateng, and the Dnipro man delivers a pin-point cross-field pass to Inkoom. Lovely to watch.
Yellow Card Stophira Sunzu
Ghana should be ahead!!! Andre Ayew whips in a free kick to the back post and the ball finds its way to John Boye who has the whole game to aim at but heads over the bar! Great chance!
Jordan Ayew drives down the left wing and cuts inside before lashing a shot at goal from the edge of the box but Mweene gets his body behind the ball to make a comfortable save.
Zambia come out after half time with a spring in their step and look to have added intensity in their play. They will be hoping that they can turn this into some goalscoring chances.
A change to report at half-time as James Chamunga is replaced by Emmanuel Mayuka up front for Zambia.
Ghana kick off the second half. Who will be in the final of the 2012 African Cup of Nations on Sunday? We will find out in the next 45 minutes. Unless, ofcourse, the match goes into extra-time.
Half time in Bata. A stalemate at the moment as Zambia and Ghana go into the break at 0-0. The Black Stars have had the majority of possession and even missed a penalty. No breakthrough yet. Join us in 15 minutes for the second 45 minutes!
Inkoom involved yet again. The Ghana right-back finds space down the wing and floats a cross into the middle for Gyan but his header is glanced wide of the the post!
Ghana counterattack at pace through the middle with Kwadwo Asamoah who plays the ball out to the right for Inkoom, who has acres of space to run into but opts to smash a shot at goal from a very difficult angle! It goes sailing over the bar and his team-mates in the box are not happy!
Ghana go close!! Kwadwo Asamoah turns the ball onto his left foot on the edge of the area and attempt to curl the ball into the bottom corner only for his shot to go a whisker by the post! It may have took a deflection on the way through!
Zambia are soaking up a lot of pressure at the moment. The Ghana midfield are continuing to have a lot of possession but they have two banks of four to break through in order to create any chances.
A couple of corner kicks from Andre Ayew come sailing into the box one after another, but Zambia continue to remain solid at the back and manage to clear.
Both teams are struggling to keep the ball and are surrendering possession far too easily. Too many long balls being played forward which the lone strikers are having trouble holding up.
What a chance for Ghana! Andre Ayew clips a free kick to the back post for Jordan Ayew, who hits a fresh air shot despite being completely unmarked! A good chance goes begging!
James Chamanga has been fairly isolated up front for Zambia so far. The 32-year-old is making his first start of the tournament but has struggled to get into the game so far.
Ghana retain possession again and continue their passing game in midfield. You get the feeling that the first goal in this game is going to be very very important.
Zambia just with a neat period of possession in the Ghana half at the moment. The ball finds its way to Chansa down the right who digs out a magnificent cross to the back post that is headed behind for a corner.
Katongo drives through the middle for Zambia but is robbed of the ball by a perfectly timed challenge from Derek Boateng. Zambia unable to create any play in the final third at the moment.
Derek Boateng is orchestrating the game for Ghana at the moment. The Dnipro man is spraying play nicely down the flanks for the Jordan and Andre Ayew but not too many clear cut chances for the Black stars as of yet, except the missed penalty kick.
Ghana beginning to dominate the possession in the match. They have also had a lot of set-piece opportunities but the delivery has not been on-song as of yet.
@Victor_Onode writes on Twitter: "Zambia has been more convincing in this tournament..I predict 3 to 1 in favour of Zambia" Ghana have had the best of the match so far but anything can happen at 0-0. What is everyone's thoughts?
Yellow Card John Boye
Ohhhh a very high foot from John Boye! The Ghana defender raises his boot to the head of Nkasau and receives a yellow card, and a costly one at that! If Ghana progress he will miss the final. Very silly booking.
The Zambia defence are looking very nervous. Ghana have been in around their penalty area a few times and the Copper Bullets are resorting to hastily humping the ball out of play.
After a frantic first ten minutes, the game has settled down slightly with both sides attempting to retain possession better. It is proving difficult however as the surface has been made very slick due to heavy rain.
Yellow Card Francis Kasonde
A massive opportunity missed by Ghana there. Asamoah Gyan misses another penalty in an international competition. Echos of the miss against Uruguay in World Cup 2010.
Penalty save Kennedy Mweene
Missed Penalty Asamoah Gyan
Asamoah Gyan steps up...and misses!!! Zambia goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene makes a fantastic save to his bottom left and turns the ball out for a corner kick!
Penalty to Ghana! Kwadwo Asamoah attempts to latch on to a pass inside the box but is caught by a late challenge from form Nkasau!
Another corner kick from Zambia is whipped in but Ghana manage to clear the ball to the half way line. Musonda collects and attempts to chip a cross back into the danger area but it goes straight through to Kwarasey in the Ghana goal.
No card is shown and we can re-start play with Mensah thankfully back on his feet. A pacey start to the match!
Zambia start the match at a high tempo and earn an early corner kick. Kalaba whips the ball in but the whistle is blown for a very late challenge on John Mensah. That looked a heafty tackle!
Zambia start the match and we're off! Both sides eager to claim their place in the final. Lets hope we have an entertaining match in store!
