The keeper proved to be a solid pair of hands throughout. He dealt with the majority of crosses into the box and he also stayed big to make a great stop from Musa just after the half hour mark.
The centre-back seemed troubled by the pace of Musa and earned an early booking for fouling him. He continued to be overzealous in his tackles and was perhaps fortunate to stay on the field. He provided a threat in the opposing penalty area.
Offered plenty of support to Duris and combined rather well with him at times on the left flank. However, he was guilty of getting caught out of position and at times he left too much space in behind that Musa exploited.
The right-back was efficient defensively and he limited the influence of Milanov. However, he lost Musa at the back post as the Nigerian headed in the opener but he made amends by supplying his team's winner.
Frequently sat far too deep in comparison to his defensive team-mates and this enabled Musa to get in behind. However, he was formidable in the air and also caused problems in the opposing box from set play.
Put in plenty of work in midfield as he had to do a lot of the running for Horvath. He was quick to close the play, making some important changes and showing great dynamism to push on and support his team-mates.
Did not use his pace to get at Schennikov often enough and failed to supply enough ammunition to the other forwards. More would have been expected of him.
The veteran midfield consistently picked out a number of high-quality passes, including one for Kolar's goal. While his physical prowess may be suspect, there could be no doubting his evidently brilliant technique.
Started the game brightly in behind Tecl and seemed eager to get in the box in order to test the opposing defence. His influence did wane but he popped up again with a crucial equaliser in the second half.
Used his pace to good effect on the left, regularly breaking past the tight marking of Karavaev and putting some decent deliveries into the box. He failed to maintain that quality after the break and was withdrawn.
The striker put in a very industrious performance as he chased everything down and put the CSKA defence under a lot of pressure. He drifted into wide areas effectively and pulled a good save from Akinfeev in the first half.
Although Plzen were on top for the first half the keeper only had to make one important save from Tecl. He kept that one out and dealt with everything else that was thrown at him.
The young left-back was guilty of getting too tight to Duris in the first half and this meant he was beaten a few too many times. He left Wagner in far too much space at the death and he netted the crucial winner.
The left-back never seemed to pick up on Plzen's short corners, which regularly caused the CSKA defence problems. He allowed too many crosses to come in from the flank in a disappointing night.
An uncompromising display from the Russia international. He read the game well and showed a good ability to position himself appropriately throughout the match.
The centre-back's error presented Tecl with Plzen's best chance of the first half, but it proved to be a rare blip during an otherwise assured defensive display. He made some good blocks and was imposing in the air.
The Russia international had hardly any influence in the game during the first half. He improved after the break, getting a couple of shots away, but a moment of petulance saw him shown a red card just after his team went 1-0 up.
The Swede worked hard in midfield but he failed to influence the game as much as his coach may have liked. He did not offer the defence enough protection against the runners from deep and was sent off in the final moments.
Hardly had any involvement in the game from the start until his withdrawal in the 74th minute. He did track back to help out his side defensively but he offered very little in terms of attacking intent.
A disappointing game from the midfielder as he consistently failed to impress from set plays. His deliveries were regularly poor and he struggled to impact the game in the middle of the park.
Looked lively in the opening minutes but he quickly faded into a peripheral figure. He struggled to create anything for his team-mates and his link-up play was practically non-existent.
It was far from the most confident of performances from the Nigerian as he proved extremely hesitant in the area, wasting some great opportunities to find the net. However, he did get a goal with a 65th minute header.

Replaced Tosic in the 52nd minute and instantly made his team look more dangerous. He earned himself an assist with a great cross for Musa but could have chipped in more defensively once his team were reduced to 10.
