• Attendance: 40000
A. Costa 25'
G. Medel 36'
Jesús Navas 70'
Sevilla completely deserved the 2-1 victory that they were able to achieve at the Mestalla. Valencia went ahead first with a superb strike from Tino Costa but Gary Medel responded with a goal before the half. After earning an assist on the Medel goal, Jesus Navas scored the winning goal in the second-half. The home side was poor for long stretches of the game and failed to play with any velocity or creativity which limited their goal-mouth opportunities. This has been Victor Ferreira, and as always, it's been a pleasure!
The referee blows the whistle and it's all over! The Sevilla players are delighted to pick up the victory! For only the second time this season, they have been able to win two consecutive games.
90' + 2'
Oh! Tino Costa almost catches Palop off guard. The midfielder sent a long free kick towards goal which forced Palop to tip over the bar.
90' + 1'
Aduriz turns in the box and attempts a strike towards goal, but once again, the shot goes wide. Valencia really need to work on accuracy here!
Yellow Card Gary Medel
Very poor from the Argentine. The entire team was in Sevilla's box and he sent the free kick sailing wide
Dangerous free kick awarded to Valencia! Tino Costa steps up..
Yellow Card Fernando Navarro
Navarro and Albelda go nose-to-nose as the referee jumps in to stop any possible incident from occurring. Tensions rising at the Mestalla!
Baba on the floor in pain. The former Maritimo man looks to have picked up a bad knock. Let's see if he can continue.
In the box, Feghouli mishits what could have been a great opportunity to equalise. The ball finds Soldado who also fails to properly handle it. On a normal day, Valencia would have scored.
The faithful sitting in the stands of the Mestalla are really urging their team forward.
Valencia have little more than ten minutes to find their game or they will face yet another defeat at the hands of los Rojiblancos.
Tino Costa tries his luck from range once more. His weak shot is easily scooped up by Palop.
Feghouli sends a wild strike from 35 yards sailing into the stands. That sums up his side's efforts on the night.
Yellow Card Aritz Aduriz Zubeldia
Valencia have failed and continue to fail in implementing speed into their game. Without it, they have failed to create many opportunities.
Sevilla are now on track for their third victory against Valencia this season.
Assist Fred Kanouté
Goal Jesús Navas González
GOAL GOAL GOAL GOAL! THAT'S IT! IT WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN! NAVAS PUTS SEVILLA AHEAD! The visitors up the tempo once more through Rakitic. An accurate cross from the Croatian found Kanoute in the box. With Guaita charging out of his net, the striker flicked the ball on to Navas who tapped into the open goal!
Almost spoke too soon! On a counterattack, a long pass finds an isolated Aduriz. Palop came running out of the net at top speed and missed the interception! The goalkeeper was saved by lady luck once more as Aduriz was not able to control his dribbling and lost the ball when he had an open net!
Sevilla completely controlling the game now, Valencia is confined to their own half
Yellow Card Bruno
Aritz Aduriz Zubeldia
Emery replaces Jonas with Aduriz. This was very much the right call to make as the usually influential forward was not at his best today. Let's see if Aduriz can do better.
Manu Del Moral
Reyes being brought off for Manu Del Moral. Michel's substitution is very questionable as the winger had been Sevilla's most effective and dangerous player throughout the match.
It's Reyes working his way into the box this time! Guaita is there to once again stop the Spaniard.
The visitors currently have the advantage as they are using their speed to open up space and have the home side cowering every time they do.
OH! Reyes releases Negredo with a wonderful pass! The striker cut across Rami but was stopped by a lunging defender just as he was winding up for what would have been an easy goal.
Valencia upping the tempo through Jonas. The Brazil international dribbled up the left, cut into the middle, and tried his luck from the edge of the box. Palop easily dealt with it.
Navas accelerates for the first time since Sevilla's goal and whips in a great cross but no one manages to get on the end of it.
The second-half has begun in the opposite way that the first-half ended. Both sides playing very slowly once again.
And we're underway with the second-half!

At the end of 45 minutes, Valencia and Sevilla find themselves tied with a goal each. Tino Costa put his side ahead with a spectacular strike after a mouth-watering, one-touch passing play. Medel equalised with a diving header and his side ended the half on top.
The referee has blown for half-time!
ALMOST! Negredo dribbled up the left side and sent a cutting pass through Valencia's defence. Kanoute connected with from point-blank range but somehow, Valencia's defence was able to keep it out of the net!
Both sides very even now as we approach half-time
These two sides could be on their way to drawing their first match in years. Valencia and Sevilla last tied a match in 2008.
Sevilla is now pressuring for a second goal with a string of corner kicks, none of which caused Valencia any problems.
Assist Ivan Rakitic
Goal Gary Medel
GOAL GOAL GOAL GOAL GOAL!!!!! GARY MEDEL! SEVILLA HAVE EQUALISED! Half the goal belongs to who else but Jesus Navas! The speedy winger finally had his presence felt as dribbling past his marker on the right. The Spaniard sent in a pin-point cross into the centre of the box and a diving Medel headed past Guaita to reestablish the deadlock!
Today's match marks Unai Emery's 200th game in charge of Valencia. A win today would also mark his 100th victory.
Rami commits a foul on the edge of Valencia's box and Sevilla gets away with a quick free kick. The resulting shot is blocked and the danger once again dealt with by the home side's defence.
It will take a lot more than what Sevilla are conjuring to threaten Guaita's clean sheet streak. Navas has been completely absent and must work his way into the game.
Sevilla looking to fight back now through the quick wing play of Jesus Navas and Reyes.
Assist Jordi Alba
Goal Tino Costa
GOAL GOAL GOAL GOAL!!!!!!! TINO COSTA! 1-0 VALENCIA!! Beautiful build-up play from Valencia. Threatening one-touch passing in Sevilla's box from Feghouli, Soldado, and Jordi Alba eventually finds Tino Costa on the edge of the box. The Argentine's rocket of a shot blew past Palop to give Valencia the lead!
Guaita will hope to face many more like that strike tonight as he is looking to earn his seventh straight clean sheet.
On a counterattack, Reyes easily works his way into Valencia's box but sends his shot directly at Guaita. The former Benfica and Atletico man needs to do better than that!
Palop nearly caught out of position! A long ball found Albelda on the edge of the box with Palop only a few yards away! The midfielder's shot was blocked by Sevilla's defence while Palop wipes the sweat off of his forehead.
Tino Costa's free kick was headed away from the 18-yard box, only to find Feghouli open on the right. The winger had a chance to swing in a great ball but his cross was poor and sailed wide.
Sevilla easily deals with it but the visitors continue to work their way up field and have earned a free kick on the right.
Better now from Valencia. Feghouli finds space on the right but has his resulting cross blocked and out for a corner.
Offensively, the home side have been poor so far and it looks like they have not fully settled into the match.
Sevilla are having no problem working their way up field as opposed to their opposition who cannot seem to work around the high levels of defensive pressure
Los Che once again keeping possession well but not doing anything with it.
Blocked! The free kick hits Valencia's wall and the danger is subdued by the rest of the home side's defence.

Mathieu finds space on the right and whips in a dangerous cross that had Soldado as its target, Sevilla clears for a corner.
Valencia earns possession early and is slowly attempting to implement dominance on the match
The referee has blown his whistle and WE ARE UNDERWAY!
Soldado will be inspired to strike again after earning a call up from Vicente Del Bosque for Spain's fixture against Venezuela.
These two sides last met in the round of 16 of this year’s Copa Del Rey. In the first-leg, Los Che squeaked by with a victory at home thanks to a solitary strike from Jonas. With a goal from Ivan Rakitic and an own goal from Victor Ruiz, Sevilla earned the victory in the second leg. However, Roberto Soldado’s strike in the same leg ensured that his side advanced to the next round on away goals.
Sevilla has had the upper hand over their opposition in the last couple of years. Since 2009, Sevilla have won six games in this head-to-head battle while Valencia has only won four. The rojiblancos have also won five out of the last six against their opposition. In this span, the away side have outscored Valencia 8-3.
