Live Commentary

  • That's a wrap on this match. The USA on cruise control throughout, but walks away with a 2-0 win thanks to late goals brought about by the second-half subs.
  • 90' + 3'
Good chance for Jamaica late, Howard came up with the save, and that'll do it. 2-0 for the USA, 100 percent at home throughout World Cup qualifying for the USA, just one game left and it's on the road in Panama.
  • 90' + 2'
    Yellow Card Jermain Christopher Anderson
  • 90' + 1'
    Yellow Card Sacha Kljestan
  • 90' + 1'
    Three minutes of stoppage time.
  • 89'
Game just drawing to a close now. USA still pushing a bit, but it's all very comfortable. Castillo had a chance there after a really nice 1-2 with Diskerud, and maybe should have laid it off for Altidore, but you can't fault him for having a go.
  • 85'
    SubstitutionRyan Johnson Jermain Christopher Anderson
  • 83'
Zusi trying to add his second, bangs it well over the top.
  • 81'
    Assist E. Castillo
  • 81'
    Goal Jozy Altidore
  • 81'
That should wrap it up!!! Jozy Altidore from Castillo, a tap in really, and it's 2-0 to the USA.
  • 79'
Kljestan!!! No, save made. The two subs have come in and tried to add some attacking intent. Good job by Kljestan to get that on frame, and maybe the USA will look like an attacking team for these last few minutes.
  • 77'
    Assist Alejandro Bedoya
  • 77'
    Goal Graham Zusi
  • 77'
There's the goal this game has been waiting for!!! Zusi with the strike. USA up 1-0 late on.
  • 75'
This games feels much more like a friendly than a qualifier, but to be fair that's basically what it is.
  • 73'
    SubstitutionJevaughn Watson Theo Robinson
  • 73'
Castillo with a cross, headed down to Diskerud, he has a hit but drags it wide. Not a bad chance there for the USA to grab a lead, but it was once again off the mark.
  • 72'
    SubstitutionAron Jóhannsson Sacha Kljestan
  • 70'
Zusi gets a shot off and for about the 15th time this match it's blocked before ever becoming a danger. That's been the story of this game, no final product at all.
  • 66'
    SubstitutionDaMarcus Beasley E. Castillo
  • 66'
Our man at the park, Ives Galarcep, says the pitch seems to be holding up nicely. That's a plus for a game that is otherwise very uninspiring.
  • 59'
Still no goals coming. Final ball has been lacking all night, and Jamaica is doing a nice job of cleaning up.
  • 57'
Zusi tries to slip Johannsson in, just off a touch, but much better play now from the USA. Holding the ball more, moving it around better.
  • 50'
Second half starting out much like the first ended. Lot of play in the middle of the park. Not much coming off in the attacking third for either team.
  • 47'
    Altidore draws an early foul.
  • 46'
    SubstitutionLandon Donovan Graham Zusi
  • 46'
We're back for the second half. Zusi on for Donovan at halftime, but otherwise all is the same.
  • 45' + 2'
Howard forced into a save late on, and that will do it for the first half.
  • 44'
Not much too much to talk about this first half. Lot of action in the middle of the park but both sides look disjointed.
  • 41'
Donovan can't get control, lets one slip past when he was in on goal.
  • 38'
Jamaica now with a free kick in a dangerous area.
  • 30'
Altidore flagged offside. USA a bit more on the front foot now, but Jamaica holding on well.
  • 29'
Corner for the U.S. Donovan floats it in and Johannsson has a crack but sends it high of the mark.
  • 26'
Donovan draws a foul at the other end. Not the most dangerous spot, about 35 yards out, middle of the pitch.
  • 26'
Donovan draws a foul at the other end. Not the most dangerous spot, about 35 yards out, middle of the pitch.
  • 25'
Not real sure what happened there. A mix up at the back for the USA, but the danger was taken care of.
  • 20'
Jones has a go.. USA putting on some sustained pressure but still hasn't found its range yet.
  • 19'
From the corner, the ball falls to Johannsson and hus first touch is good but the shot is wide fo the mark. Two good chances in short order for the U.S.
  • 17'
Altidore can't pick out Donovan, but Jamaica doesn't deal well and Beasley with some good work wins it back and has a go, just sending his shot wide after a deflection. Best chance of the game so far.
  • 14'
Hard to pick a team that's gotten the better of the early exchanges. Pretty open game so far, but some chappy play with neither side holding the ball well.
  • 9'
Altidore draws a foul, and Diskerud has a go from the following corner that he sends up and over.
  • 7'
Howard has problems with a ball in and Evans had to clear it off the line. Shaky moments for the UsA in the early stages here.
  • 5'
Bedoya with an early look, wins the U.S. a corner.
  • 3'
Jamaica getting plenty of the ball early on. USA with a couple of early fouls that have broken up any chance at a flow to the game early on.
  • 2'
Jamaica came out with a very experimental lineup. Plenty of changes, and maybe just a look to the future with this group.
  • 1'
    Here we go!!
  • This game is meaningless in terms of of qualifying and should be something of a home celebration for the USA. With qualification already secured, I think the biggest thing for Klinsmann's men tonight will be putting on a good show for the home fans, and he's certianly tried to set out a team that can do just that. No Clint Dempsey and no Michael Bradley, but with Johhansson in the team and Diskerud in the team, along with guys like Brad Evans, there are full-time spots up for grabs tonight.
  • Welcome in to Goal's live call of the USA and Jamaica. For the USA fans you should be happy tonight. Jurgen Klinsmann has tossed out a lineup full of potential, with Mix Diskerud and Aron Johannsson both getting starts. Jozy Altidore will be up front with the man that replaced him at AZ. Should be an entertaining night, with the big Mexico match still on the cards.
