The young goalkeeper had a few shaky moments early on but he produced a great save from Matri shortly before the interval. He could have done nothing to keep out Vargas' goal but will be pleased to have won in his second competitive fixture.
Stepped out of defence at times to add an extra man in the middle but he was often lax in possession. He did not get across to offer enough support to Gabriel Silva up against Joaquin.
Made plenty of attacking forays into the opposition half and virtually played as a winger when his team were in possession. He supplied some decent deliveries and watched Joaquin closely at the other end.
Was perhaps a touch lucky not to concede a penalty for handball during the first half. He got his head to a number of crosses but when faced up by the opposition he was often coltish.
Provided an attacking injection at times during the first half and he did his best to come across and help protect against Vargas when Widmer had pushed on. He was impressive throughout.
The Swiss was keen to attack and he put Pasqual under a lot of pressure throughout the game. He was an extremely useful outlet on the right and he supplied an impressive assist for Di Natale to open the scoring.
Showed good dynamism in midfield, combining attacking intent with defensive industry. He pulled a good save from Neto during the first and supported the forwards well.
An impressive performance from the Brazilian as he orchestrated the Udinese play from deep. He sprayed a number of high-quality passes about the pitch and helped protect the defence.
Guilty of trying a bit too much during the early exchanges but he soon created some decent opportunities for his team. It was his run and pass on the counterattack which initiated the opening goal.
A. Di Natale
The veteran striker struggled to get involved during the opening stages but proved to be in the right place at the right time to slot home the game's first goal. He was replaced by Bruno Fernandes at half time.
Had some bright moments as he linked up with those around him particularly well, with clever movement and crisp passing. He worked hard for his team before being substituted in the second half.
The Brazilian produced a good save from Pinzi in the first half and repositioned himself well to protect against Pereyra's follow up. He was comfortable with crosses into the box and could do nothing to stop Di Natale's goal.
The Argentine centre-back could possibly have done more to stop Di Natale from slotting home the game's opening goal. He also failed to get tight enough to Muriel following his introduction.
The towering Montenegrin regularly positioned himself well, making a number of important blocks when Udinese entered the penalty area. He also got across to support Pasqual whenever he could.
An solid debut for the on-loan defender as he played out at right-back. He passed the ball well, linking up with his team-mates consistently and making some positive forward runs.
Had a difficult evening up against Widmer as the Swiss regularly outdid him for pace. He was caught out of position ahead of the opening goal and provided very little at the other end.
Was one of Fiorentina's most dangerous players as he got a number of shots away at goal, the pick of which was a thunderous strike from 25 yards which drew his side level before half time.
Sat deep in midfield to allow more freedom for Valero and Fernandez. He distributed possession impressively throughout the game and was extremely efficient in the centre.
The Spaniard had a good chance to work the keeper early on but his attempted chip fell wide of the mark. He put a number of impressive crosses into the box and always looked capable of picking apart the opposition.
Regulary played on the should of the full-back and looked to make runs in behind. He got into some dangerous areas and pulled a good save from Scuffer in the second half. He assisted Vargas' stunning strike before the break.
The Chilean did not make his presence felt in midfield as he failed to offer enough support to Matri. His shooting was also wayward as he failed to test Scuffet when the opportunity presented itself.
Began brightly, dropping off the play and holding up the ball well. He had two good chances to find the net, one either side of half time, but failed to get the better of Scuffet. He was increasingly isolated after the break.
Replaced Di Natale for the second half but did not offer the same sort of goal threat, though he did play just behind Lopez. He put in a few decent passes but they lacked accuracy.
Replaced Lopez in the 66th minute and provided a much-needed focal point in attack. He was extremely busy and secured the win with a brilliant 20-yard finish.
