FULL TIME at White Hart Lane. Wigan had a few chances late on in the game and finished strongly, with Ronnie Stam in particular impressing in the final ten minutes, but Tottenham saw out the victory in what was overall a confident performance, especially in attack.

More good work down the right from Stam sees his cross cleared by Kaboul.

Bale looks to bag a hat-trick in style as he breaks down the left wing, but from a tight angle his shot is saved by Al-Habsi. The ball falls into the path of youngster Cameron Lancaster but the youngster can only shoot wide from an even tighter angle.
Bale looks to cut inside from the right flank on the edge of the box and is dispossessed thanks to a precise sliding challenge from Figueroa. Bale appeals for a penalty but to no avail.
Great work from Stam down the right wing sees his low cross met by the expertly positioned McArthur at the near post, but his shot flies just over.
Bale breaks away down the right flank but can only shoot over from a tight angle.
King puts the ball out for a throw after Wigan build possession. After the throw is taken Sandro causes a few nerves to jangle as he passes back for an under pressure Kaboul to clear.
Al-Habsi dives at full stretch to his right to save a curling shot by Bale after cutting inside from the right wing.
Sammon is unable to reach Stam's cross as it flies past him inside the six yard box. It could have easily been 3-2 with ten minutes to go.
James McArthur grabs a goal for Wigan aftter Moses deftly slides a ball in between full back and centre back to put him through on goal on the left edge of the box. He finishes first time from an angle and benefits from a deflection as the ball finds its way into the back of the net.
Cameron Lancaster comes on to make his debut in place of Adebayor, who has worked hard tonight.
McArthur turns inside the box and passes to Ben Watson, whose shot from the edge of the box is saved by Friedel.
Walker goes off with a reported groin injury to be replaced by Sandro. Livermore moves across to right back with the Brazilian featuring in central midfield.

Figueroa's looping cross is met by Assou-Ekotto who attempts to turn but Di Santo can intercept. The Spurs defender jumps in with the studs on his boot showing and lands on the forward's outstretched leg. Di Santo later goes off to be replaced by Conor Sammon while Assou-Ekotto is lucky to escape punishment.
James McArthur comes on for McCarthy in a bid to provide fresh legs and more defensive stability.
Bale picks up the ball on the left edge of the box, turns and fires across goal in to the bottom right corner from nothing. Tottenham 3-0 Wigan. He received the ball from Assou-Ekotto and only needed the inch of space provided by nudging the ball beyond McCarthy. Very impressive.
Moses picks up the ball on the left wing and deftly cuts inside, but his cross is cut out.
Kranjcar shows some fighting spirit to win a freekick from Figueroa on the edge of the box.
Jordi Gomez shoots from distance into Friedel's arms.
Di Santo chases down a ball into the right channel and slides to win the ball from Ledley King and put the ball into the path of Stam, who shoots at Friedel.
Wigan have had a bright spell and a right wing cross almost finds its way into Di Santo before Kaboul recovers.
Beausejour receives the ball down the left wing and swings in a good cross with his left foot. Assou-Ekotto heads clear.
Moses again combines with Beasejour to run inside from the left wing. He shoots but it is blocked.
Moses and Beausejour combine to bring the ball out from defence. Stam crosses early and Kranjcar attempts to win the ball, but accidentally cushions the ball into Moses, who cuts inside onto his right foot and shoots over.
Bale receives the ball just the right side of the centre circle and powers down the right hand side of the pitch. He crosses with his weaker right foot finding the head of Adebayor who heads over.
Wigan get the second half underway at White Hart Lane. No changes at half time.
HALF TIME at White Hart Lane. Wigan have been unable to cope with Tottenham's high pressing game, and the home side look constantly threatening with pace and power in attack. Modric has excelled himself with the pass for Bale's assist and his own turn and finish. He had been helping the team link play on the edge of the box, then picked out Bale's run in round the back of the far left of the box the moment he had room in behind. Redknapp's side look like they could go on and score more.
Stam hits an early cross into Assou-Ekotto who blocks it for a throw-in. Beausejour plays a one-two with Figueroa but Parker intercepts. Wigan regain the loose ball and work a through ball into the path of Moses, but Kaboul ushers the ball out for a goal kick.
Wigan look despondent after going 2-0 down. Good Spurs build up play culminates in Livermore advancing forward to receive the ball on the edge of the box from Modric. His shot lacks power and is saved by Al-Habsi.
Bale darts inside from the left wing before shooting from outside the box, seeing his shot blocked.
Modric receives the ball expertly on the edge of the box after a lucky deflection, and shoots on the turn into the bottom left hand corner of the goal. 2-0 Spurs

Van der Vaart goes off midway through the first half with an injury and is replaced by Jake Livermore, who will likely sit alongside Parker in midfield.
Kranjcar lofts a ball over the left side of the Wigan defence for Bale to run on to. Bale shoots across goal but Al-Habsi saves diving to his left.
Bale gives the home side the lead after controlling an excellent ball from from Modric before finishing confidently. Modric had picked the ball up on the left hand side of the box and chipped a ball over the Wigan defence for Bale to control coming in from the right wing. The Welshman chested the ball down and volleyed beyond the left of the diving Al-Habsi.
Victor Moses runs the ball out of the Wigan half and appeals for a free kick when Scott Parker impedes his progress, but has no luck.
Walker advances forward to collect the ball but Beausejour helps check the right back's run and sees the ball out for a goal kick.
Kranjcar fires a rocket of a shot from outside of the box and it is deflected for a corner. Kaboul again rises high to meet the cross but it is blocked on the line by James McCarthy.
Kranjcar picks up the ball outside the left edge of the box and gets his shot off swiftly, but Al-Habsi can catch his inswinging effort.
Victor Moses helps dispossess Spurs and collects the ball on the left wing where he cuts inside onto his right foot. He passes down the left channel but Jordi Gomez cannot control.
Adebayor controls a pass from the left and passes to right back Kyle Walker who has advanced high up the pitch. Walker's cross is header over by Adebayor but the Togolese striker applauds his efforts.
Rafael van der Vaart picks up the ball on the edge of the box and deftly chips a ball into Emmanuel Adebayor, who controls it into Kranjcar's path. The ball runs away from the Croatian and he cannot get the shot away as he turns around in the left channel and passes for Modricto fire a shot over.
Emmerson Boyce is chased down by Adebayor on the right channel but successfully shepherds a loose ball out for a goal kick.
Niko Kranjcar cuts in from the left wing to fire a low shot in, but it is blocked by a Wigan defender for a corner.
Wigan's Franco Di Santo comes within a whisker of putting the away side ahead after his team enjoy their first good spell of possession in the game. Ronnie Stam's right wing cross is gathered up by Brad Friedel after Di Santo failed to connect.
Wigan are trying to play out from the back despite Spurs' high pressing game. It almost back fires when Scott Parker dispossesses Jordi Gomez in from of the box, but the Latics' defence manages to reach the ball first.
Assou-Ekotto wins a corner which is met by Kaboul who climbs high above all others to head powerfully into the arms of Al-Habsi. It was a great leap by the Spurs defender but the Omani goalkeeper was well placed to deal with the angled effort.
Tottenham win a corner when Benoit Assou-Ekotto's cross is deflected out by Wigan's Chilean debutant Jean Beausejour, signed this transfer window from Birmingham City.
Spurs get off to a good start with Gareth Bale charging forward down the left flank, crossing into van der Vaart whose touch is scooped up by Wigan keeper Ali Al-Habsi.
And we're underway at White Hart Lane! Niko Kranjcar makes his first start for Spurs in a long time, and Spurs are light up front with Jermain Defoe out with a reported injury and Pavlyuchenko out amid reports of a possible move. Wigan's Hugo Rodallega starts up front despite being linked with a transfer.
