Mumbai squander a glorious free-kick opportunity inches outside the penalty box. N.P Pradeep takes the kick, he goes for power instead of placement and kicks it well over the post.

45' + 1'
WHAT A SAVE!! Melroy produces a spectacular save from a Climax Lawrence shot. Yakubu set up Climax as he unleashed a ferocious shot only to be saved. TOP CLASS!!
The free kick finds nobody as it is wasteful from the Flaming Orange. Chinta is livid with Beevan for not giving a good cross.
Sporting get a free kick from an attacking position as Kamaljeet performs a unnecessary tackle.
This time Sandesh gets the better of Victorino as Pratesh plays a ball towards the winger and Sandesh is there to clear it out for a throw in.

CHANCE!! Beevan plays a delightful ball to Victorino whose pace takes him ahead of Sandesh Jhingan, but his shot is down the middle and straight into the hands of Kunal Sawant. No Fire in that shot as well.
Mumbai slowly finding their feet in the game with good spells of possession now. Sporting holding back and looking to counter.
Rowllin Borges wastes a wonderful opportunity on the counter attack. Mumbai FC's corner was cleared and Rowllin had a chance to play a through ball to either Boima or Victorino but he plays it too long.

Mumbai FC have started the brighter side going forward with ease. There is no real pressure put on them by Sporting at the moment.
First shot on target from Mohammed Rafi as he gets plenty of space in box. His shot, however is a tame one as Melroy Fernandes tucks it away to grab hold of it eventually.
Sporting look to pass their way through the Mumbai defence but they go way back towards Gonzalo in defence. Eventually the ball goes out for a Mumbai throw in.

Oscar Bruzon will not be in the technical area today as he serves a one match suspension following his sending off in the last game against Dempo SC.
Mumbai FC are also desperate for a win today with relegation slowly creeping into their minds. They are in 10th place and a win would do them a world of good moving them to 8th position. Rangdajied and Churchill have been playing good attacking football in recent matches and that will only put more pressure on Khalid Jamil's side today.
Sporting Clube de Goa have been poor since the winter break, picking up just a solitary point from their last three games. However they can keep their title hopes alive with a win today, which will take them to second place above Pune FC.
