FULL-TIME: Real Madrid 3-0 Sevilla. Mourinho's side eased to victory at the Bernabeu in La Liga's early kick-off today, with goals coming from that man Cristiano Ronaldo, and a brace from Karim Benzema. Sevilla should have at least got on the scoresheet after impressing in the first half and having a Federico Fazio goal wrongly ruled out for a foul. After going in at the break 1-0 up thanks to Ronaldo's confident strike, Madrid then raced to a 3-0 lead following two goals in quick succession by Benzema. The win takes them temporarily 10 points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga, with their rivals in action against Rayo Vallecano later on this evening. Should Rayo win that game, Madrid would be crowned champions! Thank you for joining me for Goal.com's coverage of the game today. Good bye.

The referee blows the final whistle!

Rakitic shoots wide for Sevilla after being found in space 20 yards from goal by Luis Alberto.
The referee has signalled two minutes of added time...
The home side are dominating possession in the latter stages of this match, as Sevilla appear to have accepted defeat.
Madrid haven't needed to push themselves too much today, but the win will be welcome and probably needed in terms of morale following their defeat on penalties to Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final during the week.
Rakitic carries the ball forward for Sevilla before hitting a swerving effort towards goal that flies a couple of yards over Casillas' crossbar. The away side are being restricted to long shots at goal now, as Madrid ease to victory in this match.
Arbeloa is down with a knock on the right after he slipped attempting to challenge Navas. That looked far more painful than it was though, as the Madrid full-back is fit to continue.
Casillas comes a long way from goal to try and nick the ball off Jesus Navas as Sevilla break. The winger evades the challenge but is drawn out wide and cannot take advantage with the Madrid keeper out of goal.
Should Barcelona lose against Rayo Vallecano tonight, Madrid would be crowned champions of La Liga. Their fans have got alot to be excited about!
The Madrid fans are waving their flags in the stands as their side cruise to victory in this game.
Some composed play and a fine crossfield ball from Sami Khedira in a tight spot on the left allows Madrid to break down the right through Arbeloa, but Sevilla eventually win the ball back through Navarro.
That is one of the worst free-kicks I've seen all season! Rakitic's effort will probably meet Sergio Ramos' penalty from during the week against Bayern in a couple of days.
FREE-KICK TO SEVILLA! 25 yards from goal. Rakitic is lining it up...
Ozil goes racing down the left before sending a cross into the centre that is deflected behind for a corner by Cala. The resulting corner is wasted by Madrid though, and Sevilla clear the ball from danger with ease.
ANOTHER PENALTY APPEAL TURNED DOWN!!! Ronaldo falls to the Bernabeu turf again inside the area, this time under pressure from Coke. The Sevilla defender makes no effort to play the ball there, and that could easily be a penalty for the home side.
Should they win this game, which it looks like they probably will, Madrid will have gone 20 games unbeaten in La Liga, having won 16 and drawn three times in their past 19 league matches..
That should have been a penalty for Madrid there, and it would also have been a second yellow card for Cala, had the referee made the correct decision. That is the last thing Sevilla will want at this stage in the game!
PENALTY SHOUT FOR MADRID!! Ronaldo goes down just inside the area under a challenge from Cala, but the referee deems that the defender has won the ball fairly, despite the appeals of Ronaldo and his team-mates.
Cristiano Ronaldo is pulled back for offside, as Marcelo looked to unleash the attacker with a ball down the line. The home side are looking rampant in this second half!
Mesut Ozil whips in a corner for Madrid that Pepe heads just over the crossbar. You just can't see Sevilla coming back into this game at the moment!
Xabi Alonso curls the set piece into the area but it is cleared well by the head of Fazio.
Ángel Di María
Free-kick to Madrid 40 yards out on the left-hand side...
Yellow Card Ángel Di María
Ronaldo (43), Higuaín (21) and Benzema (20) are the first three players from one club in La Liga history to score 20 league goals each in a single season.
Yellow Card Cala
RONALDO SHOOTS WIDE!!! Coke puts enough pressure on the Portuguese attacker to put him off 10 yards from goal, and he can only poke his eventual shot wide of Varas' goal.
Yellow Card Esteban Granero
As Sevilla look to reduce the deficit they get no help from the linesman on the near side. Jesus Navas races free inside the area but is pulled back for offside, when he is at least a couple of yards onside.
Yellow Card Rodriguez
There are chants of 'Campeone, Campeone' ringing around the Bernabeu following the latest Madrid goal.
Assist Sergio Ramos
Goal Karim Benzema
MADRID EXTEND THEIR LEAD!!! 3-0!!! A fine pass from deep from Ozil finds Sergio Ramos bombing on down the right, and he has time to set himself before crossing to Benzema at the back post. The Frenchman makes no mistake with his finish, heading strongly past Varas and into the roof of the net.
After taking the kick short, Reyes and Navas are dispossessed in the left-back position, and Madrid look to counter...
Sevillal have a free-kick 35 yards from goal after a foul on Reyes by Xabi Alonso.
Assist Ángel Di María
Goal Karim Benzema
GOOOALLLL TO MADRID!!!! Benzema applies the simplest of finishes at the back post after Coke had made a complete mess of clearing an inswinging pass from Ozil. Easy for Madrid.
CHANCE FOR NEGREDO!! The Sevlla striker evades Pepe's challenge brilliantly on the edge of the penalty area and has time and space to pick his spot, but instead fires straight at Iker Casillas. A disappointing finish after a wonderful couple of touches.
That first half goal from Ronaldo was his 109th in just 98 La Liga games, and makes him their 10th highest goalscorer in the competition. A remarkable achievement considering he only joined the club in 2009.
The teams are back out at the Bernabeu, and the second half is underway...
HALF-TIME: Real Madrid 1-0 Sevilla. Cristiano Ronaldo's 43rd league goal of the season separates the two sides at the break, but there could easily have been more goals in the first half. Navas, Reyes and Negredo were all guilty of wasting goalscoring opportunities for Sevilla, while Fazio also had a goal disallowed following an innocuous challenge from Negredo on Pepe. Ronaldo came close to adding to his tally for Madrid, hitting the post and having a shot saved by Varas. Join me in ten minutes for the second half of what has been an entertaining and open game at the Bernabeu!
45' + 1'
The referee blows the whistle to mark the end of a frantic first half!
There will be one minute of added time here...
Madrid are throwing men forward in search of more goals. Benzema and Ronaldo exchange passes inside the area, before Sevilla look to have cleared it. It only goes as far as Ozil though, who sets off on a slaloming run into the area, with the ball eventually reaching Ronaldo, who shoots wide with an elaborate back-heeled effort. Exhibition stuff from Madrid!
Corner to Sevilla. A handball from Cala hands the ball back to Madrid though, and they take the set piece quickly, breaking through Ronaldo. He lifts a cross over to Benzema and there are a host of Madrid players queuing up inside the area. The Frenchman elects to go alone though, and perhaps shouldn't have, as he blazes an effort high over the crossbar.
Some casual play from Reyes on the left gifts possession back to Madrid, and they immediately break down that wing through Di Maria.
RONALDO GOES CLOSE AGAIN!! The attacker nearly produces a carbon copy of his first goal, jinking inside past Coke on the left before firing a right foot shot towards goal that Varas does well to keep out.
INDIRECT FREE-KICK INSIDE THE PENALTY AREA FOR MADRID!! A high foot from Fazio on Ronaldo results in a free-kick being given to the home side. Ronaldo then smashes an effort onto the left-hand post after the ball is teed up for him by Xabi Alonso. Madrid are creating chances here!
GOOD SAVE FROM VARAS! Marcelo makes up for his defensive lapses by nearly increasing Madrid's lead, bombarding forward before drilling a shot towards goal that Varas does well to turn round the post.
MARVELLOUS COUNTER ATTACK FROM MADRID!! The home side turn defence into attack in seconds as Ozil, Ronaldo and Benzema combine with the latter of the three eventually shooting just wide from 20 yards.
Marcelo is enduring a torrid time against Navas at the moment. The Brazilian full-back is being exposed time and time again so far in this game.
Varas is being given a tough old time by his defenders this morning, again he is passed the ball under pressure from Ronaldo, and fortunately for him is able to hack the ball clear.
And now Negredo misses for the away side. That's three chances in the space of five minutes that they have wasted!
SEVILLA ARE CREATING CHANCES!!! Reyes makes up for his poor shot a minute ago by threading a wonderful pass between Pepe and Ramos to Navas. His team-mate's shot is no better than his earlier effort though, and flies harmlessly over Casillas' goal.
Yellow Card Mesut Özil
CHANCE FOR REYES!!!! The Sevilla winger has time and space inside the Madrid area on the right to set himself on his favoured left foot. You would expect him to do better though, as his effort is comfortably saved by Iker Casillas. Reyes is still yet to score since returning to Sevilla in January.
Mesut Ozil receives a yellow card for handball!! He looks fairly bemused by the decision but replays show that it is a deserved booking, it was a blatant handball!
That goal is Ronaldo's 43rd in La Liga this season, keeping him on track to become the first player since Hugo Sanchez to retain the top scorer title. Sanchez won four straight 'Pichichi' awards between 1985-88.
Madrid look to increase their lead immediately but Angel Di Maria's pass fails to reach its intended target of Benzema inside the Sevilla penalty area. The home side are beginning to look like they fancy this one.
Goal Cristiano Ronaldo
GOALLLLLL TO MADRID!!!!! ROOOONAAALLLDDOOO!!! The Portuguese attacker dummies to shoot with his left foot inside the area to fool Coke after being found by a pass from Karim Benzema. The dummy fashions him enough space to then curl a right foot shot low past Varas and into the far corner.
Assist Karim Benzema
CLOSE FOR SEVILLA!! Fazio nearly gets on the end of Reyes' free-kick, but his header goes just wide of Iker Casillas' right-hand post.
Sevilla have a free-kick after Sergio Ramos manhandles his former team-mate Jesus Navas on the left.
Ozil curls the set piece into the area but it is cleared by Koke, only as far as Alonso though, who shifts the ball back out to Ozil on the left. He sends another ball towards Ronaldo at the back-post, but Navarro does well to get in front of the Madrid player and head the ball away.
Ronaldo wins a corner for Real Madrid on the left...
Negredo is really in the wars today! After spending a spell of time with the advertising hoardings he is now elbowed in the chest by his own team-mate, Jesus Navas. Not a comfortable start for the former Madrid man!
Considering this is an early kick-off, the fans at the Bernabeu are making a fair amount of noise so far. Fair play to them!
Ronaldo does well to push the ball past Varas after running on to a pass from Mesut Ozil, the touch takes him wide though, and by the time he has composed himself to put a cross in there are a group of Sevilla defenders back inside the area to clear the ball away.
The Sevilla goalkeeper Javi Varas gets away with some fairly risky play inside his own area, receiving a pass under pressure from Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo blocks the attempted clearance that could go anywhere! Luckily for Varas it goes wide of his goal.
The stretchers are premature though, and Negredo eventually gets to his feet and is able to run back on to the pitch and continue.
Negredo has just gone flying over some of the advertising hoardings at the side of the pitch following a nudge from Pepe. The Sevilla striker looks in quite a bit of pain as play carries on without him. There are stretchers being taken over to the player on the side of the pitch.
Madrid break for the first time in the game through Alvaro Arbeloa on the right-wing, but some brilliant positioning by Fernando Navarro stops the move in its tracks, as the defender shepherds the ball out of play for a Sevilla goal-kick.
Reyes curls the resulting free-kick into the box, and it eventually falls to Federico Fazio who slams the ball home.... but the referee has seen an infringement in the penalty area, and pulls play back for a foul on Pepe by Negredo.
Free-kick to Sevilla after Sergio Ramos bundled Jose Antonio Reyes to the floor 40 yards from goal on the right-hand side.
Pepe does well to dispossess Alvaro Negredo in Madrid's right-back position. The former Madrid academy player will be hoping to make an impact in this game!
We are under way in the sunshine here at the Bernabeu...
The only other time that Real Madrid have kicked off at this time they smashed Osasuna 7-1 back in November. Will we see a repeat of that kind of performance this morning? Let me know your thoughts on Twitter, @charliefscott.
SEVILLA TEAM NEWS: The away side make a host of changes to their team that drew 1-1 with Levante in their last league game. Juan Varas comes in for Andres Palop in goal while Julien Escude is replaced by Juan Cala in defence. Deivid starts in midfield and ahead of him Rakitic and Reyes return at the expense of Luna and Manu.
REAL MADRID TEAM NEWS: Mourinho makes just one change from the side that lost to Bayern Munich midweek, as Esteban Granero starts in midfield ahead of Sami Khedira.
Subs: Julian, Campana, Guarente, Luna, De Mul, Baba, Luis Alberto.
Sevilla (4-2-3-1): Varas; Coke, Fazio, Cala, Navarro; Trochowski, Deivid; Navas, Rakitic, Reyes; Negredo.
Subs: Adan, Albiol, Coentrao, Khedira, Callejon, Kaka, Higuain.
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Granero, Alonso; Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo; Benzema.
Here are the starting XIs for the match:
There is a possibility that Sevilla may be on the end of a Madrid backlash in this game, following Jose Mourinho's side's nail-biting exit to Bayern Munich on penalties in the Champions League semi-final earlier this week. All their attention will be on securing the La Liga title for the remainder of the season, a fete they could achieve today should they beat Sevilla and Barcelona lose to Rayo Vallecano this evening. Sevilla are in a dog-fight for European qualification as they sit in 8th placce in the league, with just six points separating 6th placed Athletic Bilbao and Real Betis in 14th.
