Could have done nothing to prevent Umut Bulut's equaliser in the first half and generally looked solid when dealing with aerial balls. When called to make a save he was excellent, most notably tipping a Drogba header over the bar from six yards.
Left the attacking full back ambition to Arbeloa tonight as he played in a slightly more reserved role tonight. Still naturally managed to venture forward and was an extra body on the wing as he had nothing to deal with defensively against the ineffectual Bruma.
Had a solid start to the match and knocked the ball around confidently along the backline. However, put his side on the back foot for over an hour after getting sent off for a professional foul on Umut Bulut in the first half.
Showed intelligence when on the ball in pressurised positions at the back as he cleverly earned free kicks in tricky situations. Did however allow Umut Bulut to run through unopposed to score in the first half.
Showed an attacking dimension to his game that is usually sorely lacking. Proved he has the ability to break forward and affect play on the overlap. Drifted in at the back post to convert home with an accomplished finish and got beyond the opposition defence to assist Di Maria's goal.
Took a little while to look comfortable in the game as he was relentlessly pressed in the middle of the park in the early stages, but eventually became effective in the middle of the park with his neat and tidy passing.
Á. di María
Was one of Madrid's biggest threat's in the first half as his electric speed was always posing danger on the counterattack. Enjoyed his match massively in the second period and got on the scoresheet with an accurate finish inside the area.
Floated in and around the Galatasaray penalty and was always looking to find space and pick out neat, incisive passes. Grabbed the fourth Madrid goal when he burst into the box and cleverly flicked the ball past Inan before stabbing into the net.
Had to deal with a lot of pressure at his feet as Galatasaray hounded him in the opening few minutes, but shook off the tackles well and looked more and more confident as the game progressed. Sprayed the ball to the wings excellently and prospered next to Xabi Alonso.
Looked bright at the start of the match and worked the flanks well as he pulled defenders out of position. Should have pulled the trigger earlier on one opportunity inside the box but didn't get the chance to make amends as he was sacrificed for Nacho after Ramos' red card.
Opened the scoring with a superbly taken long-range free kick in the first half but squandered two glorious opportunities whilst through on goal in the first 45. Linked up well the rest of the attackers for the rest of the match, but his danger lessened.
Lost of flight of Bale's free kick far too easily and flapped at it as he allowed it to fly past him. Couldn't have done too much about the other goals and pulled off a couple of decent saves.
Stepped out when he should have held position and did the opposite at the wrong times, which allowed Madrid to break the offside trap time and time again. Looked a bombscare with the ball at his feet at the back.
Rashly looked to nick the ball at the feet of Isco too often and found himself turned far too easily. Didn't manage to put enough pressure on the Madrid attackers and left them far too much room to maneouvre.
With everything that was on the line, seemed to defend rather laid back and nonchalantly. Performance lacked any kind of intensity and allowed himself to be overflowed down the wing.
Took a bad knock from Casemiro in the early stages but recovered fairly well and was an attacking threat on the overlap. Got into good positions and lashes in some decent crosses.
Put in some extremely important interceptions inside his own half, particularly against Jese. Always looked to be playing slightly too deep but there was a short period in the first half when he controlled the match. Left for dead for Isco's goal, though.
Got into some useful positions on the edge of the box but didn't make the most of them and often surrendered possession. Was even more ineffectual in the second half and was eventually substituted.
Performance looked promising in the early stages as he stretched his legs down the left-hand side. However, drifted out of the match terribly and barely touched the ball despite his side having a man advantage.
Typically put himself about and left the boot in a few times, including a challenge on Pepe which earned him a yellow. Didn't really look interested as Galatasaray probed for a way back into the match.
Set up the goal with a glorious stabbed pass in behid the Madrid defence. Was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet as he saw his superb header tipped over by Casillas. Looked terribly fatigued in the last 15 minutes of play.
Was a massive thorn in the side of the hosts in the first half. Got Sergio Ramos sent off with his strength and determination to get on the end of a pass over the top and made it 1-1 with a cool finish into the bottom corner.
Rashly came out of position to steal the ball off Drogba which lead to the Galatasaray goal. Improved thereafter despite being out of position.
Was superb after coming on and kept the ball intelligently in the middle of the park. Acted as a calming presence and made sure the Turks didn't gain any ascendancy.
