Barcelona win Aggregate 6 - 3
L. Messi 38'
AND ITS ALL OVER!!! BETIS WIN!!!! The Verdiblancos end Barcelona's 28-match unbeaten run courtesy of a 3-1 win, and although they head out 6-3 on aggregate, Pepe Mel's men take the plaudits!!! Good night from Goal.com, thanks for joining us for the action!!!
Heading towards injury time now.
Barcelona closing in on a semi-final tie with Almeria, who of course they crushed 8-0 earlier in the campaign, and it's hard to see beyond a Barca - Real Madrid Copa del Rey final.
Another scoreless evening for Bojan, who trudges off to be replaced by Jeffren. He has not been on form whatsoever this season, and Barca's record run of wins looks to be crashing to an end.
Adriano's confidence looks to be shot. Messi's plays him in, through on goal at the angle, and with a clear opportunity to shoot he tried to cut it back, and his pass is easily cleared. Casto should have at least be made to make a save there.
Into the last ten minutes of the match now, and while Barca have been better in the second half, it won't be enough to stop them falling to defeat.
Casto attempts to clear the ball upfield, and somewhat hilariously falls while kicking, lobbing the ball into the stand. He saw the funny side, however.
Yellow CardJonathan Pereira
Really, really poor challenge there by Pereira on Mascherano, catching the midfielder from behind, and is booked for the lunge.
The home crowd give a rapturous OLE! as their team enjoys an extended spell of passes. They truly have given fantastic backing to their team.
Time running out for Barcelona now, and at the moment they don't look likely to even the score. Their play is disjointed and they haven't really created many chances, Messi's penalty miss aside.
The past minute has been the first concerted period of possession from Barca in the entire match, but like much of their play this evening, it comes to nothing, with Betis biting at their heels.
Changes at the back on the way from Guardiola, Abidal looks set to come on, and Milito is likely to be replaced - he has looked well off the pace this evening.
Betis continue to come forward with reckless abandon, their attitude has been hugely refreshing this evening, and they are closing in on a famous win over the Catalan giants.
OFF THE POST!!!! Great move from Betis!!!!! Pereira, ever dangerous pulling into the channel, played it across goal, and Nacho's superb strike smashes back off the upright and to safety. What a goal that would have been!
Barca subs are warming up.... Guardiola will most definitely make a change within the next five minutes, because he remains far from happy on the touchline.
Barcelona's 3-1 defeat to Inter last season is the only time they have been defeated by that scoreline in Guardiola's reign - will we see humble Betis repeat the feat of the European champions?
Messi whips a dangerous ball across the Betis area, but it just evades both Bojan and Pique, and flies harmlessly out for a goal kick.
Not Barcelona's night so far by any stretch of the imagination. In a strange way, though, they may as well produce a poor performance in a tie where they came in with a 5-goal advantage...
MESSI MISSES!!!!! His standing leg appear to fold underneath him, and he scooped his kick over the crossbar. So unlike the little striker, but Betis get a reprieve!!!
PENALTY!!!!! BARCELONA WIN A SPOT KICK!!! Messi hits a strike on goal inside the area, and as Isidoro slid in, the ball struck his hand. Messi will hit the kick...
The tempo has remained equally as quick in the second half. Barca want to avoid defeat, despite the situation in the tie, and the match will become stretched.
It is hard not to be enthralled by Betis' display so far. A Segunda Division side are currently humbling a team that many regard to be the best in the world, with two Ballon d'Or finalists on the pitch. Amazing.
We are back in Seville. Betis need four goals to progress, but even a win on the night is likely to be celebrated profusely.

GOALLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! BETIS MAKE IT 3-1!!!!!! Milito attempts to head away a cross into the area, but gets no distance on the clearance, and Arzu superbly hooks the ball over his shoulder and into the net!! Incredible stuff. And with that, the half time whistle! What a half from Betis!!!
Just one minute of added on time here.
Molina unhappy with what he deems to be play-acting by Adriano, and gives him a piece of his mind. Not a great evening for the Brazilian so far.
All credit to Betis' fans, the atmosphere remains electric despite their efforts surely being in vain. They are proud of their team, and quite rightly so.
Pep Guardiola seemed to launch a verbal tirade on Adriano after Messi's goal went in. He clearly isn't happy, and not difficult to see why.
Messi's goal secures Barcelona's progression, but they still won't want to give up their unbeaten run so easily. However, Pique, Maxwell and Pinto have all been guilty of dreadful distribution from their own half.
Who says he isn't fit? the incredible Argentine battled with Belenguer with the ball, strode into the area and stroked his finish through the legs of Casto. Brilliant goal, and it really IS all over now.
GOOOALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!! LIONEL MESSI!!!!!!!!
More direct running from Afellay, who is keen to impress, but he shifts the ball too far and his drilled cross goes into the side net.
Messi finds space, perhaps for the first time, in the channel on the left but his cross is uncharacteristally straight at Casto.
But Salva Sevilla's effort is into the wall, and his second strike is blazed high into the stand.
Betis win a free kick in a dangerous position, and Adriano picks up a booking for his troubles. Within shooting range, this.
It may be a second string, and they may still lead 5-2 on aggregate, but this has been as sloppy an opening spell as you would care to see from Pep Guardiola's generally flawless team.
Xavi swings the ball into the path of Messi, but the angle is too tight, and the ball goes hopelessly out of play. The Argentine has been struggling with flu this week - and looks to be suffering the aftermath slightly.
Rarely in the past two seasons have a team been afforded so much space as Betis are enjoying tonight. This most definitely is not the Barca we have come to know.
Barcelona now enjoying more possession, trying to take the sting out of the game, and Afellay is their most prominent player so far. Messi hasn't touched the ball so far, literally...
HUUUYYY!!!! First effort of the match from Barca, Afellay, cutting in from the left wing, firing in a stinging shot that Casto does well to parry over the crossbar.
MOLINA!!! WHAT A CHANCE!!!! The striker had the chance of a 12-minute hat-trick against the Camp Nou giants, but delayed his shot and Pique got in a last-ditch tackle to deny him.
Barca truly shaken, probably for the first time since losing to Hercules in August, and they continue to make mistakes defensively.
Ezequiel, Betis' under 19 winger, has had an explosive start here, and Adriano, in for the injured Dani Alves, can't handle him at the moment.
What an astonishing start to this match, and the stadium is bouncing. Milito and Pique are all over the place in the centre of the Blaugrana defence at the moment, however. They haven't looked comfortable at all.
It's Jorge Molina again!!! Lovely run from Ezequiel of the left flank, cutting through the Barca midfield, and his perfectly weighted pass finds the tall hit-man, who slots past the body of Pinto!!!! Surely not a comeback, here, SURELY?
GOOALLLLLL!!!!!!! INCREDIBLE, 2-0 BETIS!!!!!!!
What a fantastic start for the second division team. Despite the scoreline from last week, the Betis fans have turned out in force, and already they have something to cheer.
A free kick is fired in at the near post, and Jorge Molina, who appeared to be in an offside position, got in front of Pinto to poke the ball home. The crowd goes wild, what a start from the Verdiblancos!
GOALLL!!!!!!!!! Betis take the lead!!!! What a start here!!!
We are underway in Seville.
Now, the Segunda leaders, who line up as follows: Casto, Isidoro, Belenguer, Roversi, Nacho; Iriney, Salva Sevilla, Ezekiel, Arzu, Jonathan Pereira, Molina
Barca ring the changes, but Messi keeps his place in the side, which is as follows: Pinto, Adriano, Piqué, Milito, Maxwell, Mascherano, Xavi, Keita, Messi, Bojan, Afellay
Good evening and welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of this quarter-fnal second leg clash between Betis and Barcelona from the Benito Villamarin stadium! With Barca holding a 5-0 lead from the first leg, this tie is all but over, but let's hope for an exciting match in any case.
