Sent the wrong way in Ibrahimovic's penalty and was rounded by Emanuelson for Milan's crucial second but he could hardly be blamed for Parma's defeat. Indeed, while he really should have parried Ibra's first-half free kick to safety and was lucky to see Emanuelson fail to bury the rebound, Mirante made a number of decent stops.
Made a succession of fine interceptions, particularly during the first half, and was one of the home side's better players throughout.
Got the ball in some encouraging crossing positions during the first half but his delivery was repeatedly poor. Defended reasonably well, though.
Was a good physical presence at the back for Parma but it was his ridiculous decision to handle Emanuelson's strike on goal which effectively decided the game, with the hosts having dominated up until that point. He was also desperately fortunate to avoid giving away another penalty for a trip on Ibrahimovic in the area.
Struggled at times to contain Ibrahimovic and was booked for hauling the striker down during the first half. At the other end, he was unlucky to see a header deflected onto the crossbar by Thaigo Silva.
Was very prominent early on, coming close to scoring 10 minutes in after a neat turn and some nimble footwork took him away from Bonera. However, that was to be the highlight of his evening's work.
One of Parma's brighter players and caused Milan problems with his direct running. However, there was ultimately no end product from the former Inter man.
Had a wayward strike on goal early on but his involvement was cut short before the half-hour mark due to injury.
Tested Abbiati with a well-struck drive in the first half but his most notable contribution to the game was a dreadful error which put Ibrahimovic straight in on goal.
A real livewire in the first half, creating panic in the Milan defence with his movement and trickery. However, the Italy international's influence faded as the game wore on.
Always involved, Floccari worked tirelessly to make something happen for the hosts - but to no avail and was desperately unfortunate to be denied a consolation goal at the death.
Did not actually have too much to do but did not let his side down when called upon, pulling off a terrific save from Musacci in the second period.
Had a reasonably solid game, though he was cautioned for a late challenge on Jonathan midway through the second half.
No longer gets up and down the flank like he used to but the versatile full-back was rarely troubled and can be happy with his evening's work.
Had a scary moment when he deflected Paletta's header onto his own crossbar but, for the most part, he was his usual calm and composed self.
Looked vulnerable at times, particularly during the first half, but he improved as the game wore on and played his part in Milan's clean sheet.
Covered a lot of ground, won the ball back well for Milan and distributed it sensibly enough. Never really caught the eye - but then, that's not his job.
Has proven a fine signing for Milan since his arrival in January and he again got through plenty of work in the middle of the park. Stupidly booked for complaining to the referee just before the full-time whistle but it did not detract from a decent performance.
It was his shot on goal which Zaccardo handled to give Milan a penalty and he also finished coolly after finding himself one-on-one with Mirante. However, he could have had a hat-trick in truth, but the Dutchman somehow fired over after pouncing on a rebound, before then being let down by his control after finding himself in on goal. Still, the one that did find the target will lift the spirits of a player who is finally starting to prove his worth to the Rossoneri.
Buzzed about the pitch as usual and always looked capable of making something happen. He played his part in the Milan goal with a long ball forward to Ibrahimovic in the lead-up to the penalty. However, this was by no means his most influential display.
S. El Shaarawy
Selected to start up front alongside Ibra but the youngster made little or no impression on the game and was hauled off before the end.
Not at his best but still so influential. Ibra tucked away his penalty with the minimum of fuss and also played his part in Milan's second goal by cleverly allowing the ball to run for Emanuelson. His control was a joy ato behold at times - and yet it let him down after he was put through on goal towards the end of the first half.

Replaced Biabany for the last half hour but proved just as ineffective.
Came on in place of Mariga and looked lively enough on occasion, drawing a fine save out of Abbiati in the second period.
Thrown on for Morrone for the final 15 minutes and his introduction had no bearing on the game.

Made a late cameo after his own recent return to full fitness but did not have sufficient time to make an impact.
Made his long-awaited return from persistent ocular problems after being thrown on in injury time in place of Muntari.
- 9 F. Inzaghi
Given 13 minutes at the end of the game but was unable to make an impression on proceedings.
