Z. Ibrahimovic 22', 31', 35'
Thiago Silva 58'
It finishes 4-0 to Milan, as Ibracadabra casts a spell on Palermo with a fabulous hat-trick! The champions move four points clear at the Serie A summit, albeit having played two games in hand over nearest rivals Juventus, while Palermo suffer a second straight heavy defeat! Stay on Goal.com, where I will bring you all more breaking news until 1am, as well as reports and, of course, player ratings! I'm Livio Caferoglu and I wish you all a very pleasant evening!
90' + 1'
Miccoli is found on his own just left of the goal, but he fires his half-volley attempt way over the bar, probably out of frustration!
The fourth official signals two minutes of added time, in what promises to be an emphatic victory for the Rossoneri!
Two minutes left, as Miccoli stands over another free kick. However, his looped effort is headed away by Silva, and initiates a sweeping El Shaarawy counterattack, but Munoz eventually gets the better of him down the left flank.
OOOOH! Inzaghi almost caps his cameo appearance off with a goal, having ran clear of Palermo's defence, but is caught offside!
SHOULD'VE DONE BETTER!! Literally seconds after coming on, he charges into Milan's box and almost capitalises on Bonera's gift from a free kick, but the Israeli blazes the ball over the bar!
Ibra's attempt is driven, but it cannons back off Migliaccio! The ball goes all the way back into Milan's half and they try to hit back once more.
Munoz is absolutely fuming as he concedes a foul on Ibra on the edge of the box. It appeared to be a soft decision, but the introduction of Inzaghi is greeted to a chorus of cheers!
The little man's attempt is flung in at the far post, but it's easily defended by a white shirt. Throw-in to Milan as Inzaghi is ready to come on!
Aguirregaray again tries to force his way through the Milanese defence, but it results in nothing. Meanwhile Muntari trips up Della Rocca and it's another free kick to Miccoli on the right hand side of the box.
Milan are more than happy to sit back and soak in Palermo pressure for the last 15 minutes, as they successfully defend another Rosanero corner.
More wacky defending is seen at the other end, as Mesbah steamrolls over Thiago Silva in an attempt to rush back and avert danger posed by Ilicic, forcing the Brazilian to receive treatment!
Viviano is put under unnecessary pressure by his backline, as he horribly scuffs his clearance, but fortunately Milan fail to profit from his misjudgment.
Donati sums up his inept display with a wayward shot from distance. The former Celtic man, ironically facing his former side, has been brutally exposed by Milan in the middle of the park!
Miccoli is furious with referee Daniele Orsato as he appears to have been played through with a long, raking ball over the top, but the diminutive hitman is flagged offside!
Aguirregaray does everything right as he shifts past Abate and into the box, but gets his wires crossed as he cannot decide whether to shoot or play Ilicic through, and ends up doing neither as the ball rolls into the arms of Abbiati!
Quiet couple of minutes in this one, and a much-needed break as the tempo is slowed right down! However, just as I say that Mesbah pops up down the left and drills in a low cross, but it's cleared by Mantovani.
PALERMO INCHES AWAY FROM PULLING ONE BACK!!! Barreto can't believe his luck as his perfect strike at goal sees Abbiati freeze, but it rattles the post!
Francesco Della Rocca
Assist Stephan El Shaarawy
Goal Thiago Silva
Well it was coming! Viviano looks on with a face of helplessness, as El Shaarawy makes an instant impact, whipping a pinpoint cross onto the head of the Brazilian stopper to make it four to the champions! Absolutely shocking defending from the hosts it has to be said.
YET more atrocious Palermo defending sees El Shaarawy pop up on the fringes of the box, but his curling attempt is parried away by Viviano, who has been the sole factor in keeping the scoreline intact!
Budan expresses his frustration as the rare time he receives any kind of service from his team-mates, he sees his shot blocked by Silva and into the arms of Abbiati!
Stephan El Shaarawy
Unsurprisingly Emanuelson's match is over, as El Shaarawy takes his place for the remaining 40 minutes or so of the encounter. What can the Italo-Egyptian starlet conjure up?
Straight from the resulting set-piece, Robinho tries to glance the ball in from the near-post, but it goes over the bar! Ominous start to the half from Milan.
AND IT'S A GOOD ATTEMPT! The Brazilian drills the ball hard and low towards the bottom left corner, but Viviano again does well to tip the ball wide for a corner!
Meanwhile, Emanuelson is forced to limp off the pitch after Migliaccio's late challenge! Milan playing with 10 as Thiago Silva prepares to rifle the free kick...
Palermo just cannot keep the ball at the moment, as Ibrahimovic displays neat footwork to win his side a free kick near the D. A great position for the Rossoneri to add to their lead!
IBRA NEARLY MAKES IT FOUR!! The Swede meets the corner with his head and forces Viviano into a fingertip save!
Muntari, who has been hugely industrious so far, albeit without too much quality to show for, fouls Donati in the middle of the park. However, it ends up with Abate on the edge of the Palermo box, but he fires his shot JUST over!! Corner to Milan.
The second half is underway, and it's a throw-in to Milan inside the first 30 seconds!
First change of the match sees Djamel Mesbah replace Luca Antonini at left-back for Milan. Not sure whether it's due to an injury or not, as the ex-Sampdoria man had a fairly comfortably first half!
The whistle is blown to signal the end of the first period, as Palermo will only be too happy to trudge off the field of play. Join me in 15 for more LIVE coverage of the second half! Oh, and be sure to tweet me now while it's quiet!
One minute of injury time will be played out! Throw to Milan in the meantime.
Emanuelson and Nocerino play an acute one-two in the box, as the Dutchman proceeds to strike the ball for 4-0, but a last-gasp block puts it out for a corner!
We're entering the last stages of the first half now, and it's been a case of three sucker punches from Milan. It's not been all plain sailing for the league leaders though, as Palermo have still shown genuine attacking intent without finding the net!
Milan are seeking a penalty as Ibra claims to have been shoved to the ground by Migilaccio. Nothing given, however!
ANCORA!!! Milan nearly recreate the second goal, as the ball eventually drops to Ibrahimovic in the box, but his first touch is a little too strong, although he still fires an attempt at Viviano from close range, which is blocked by the goalkeeper's leg!
Credit to Palermo nonetheless, as they continue on in their quest to pull one back, but it's not quite working at the moment. The team needs to find Miccoli's wavelength, as he seems to be at heart of everything positive for the home side.
Assist Urby Emanuelson
Goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Unbelievable, it's Ibra AGAIN.. or Super Zlatan if you prefer!!! Again Palermo do not learn their lesson and give the hitman bundles of space to punish them, in which he does just that with another superb curling finish to put the Rosanero out of sight just 35 minutes in!
Palermo were badly caught out on the break there after committing so many numbers forward for the free kick. Mutti looks on in bemusement, with the match seemingly already in the bag for the champions!
Goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic
IBRA AT THE DOUBLE!!! Milan break at the speed of light from the free kick, as Robinho finds Ibra, who takes on his marker with ease and again finishes with aplomb on the edge of the box! What a return to Serie A football for the Swede!
INCREDIBILE! Somehow Palermo cannot get the ball in the net despite it being pinged about in the midst of a melee in the box! Miccoli's free kicks are looking dangerous so far.
Ilicic is felled near the touchline, and Miccoli stands over ANOTHER free kick!
Robinho and Ibra look to team up and grab a second, but the move breaks down at the last minute! Meanwhile Palermo are awarded a free kick near the centre circle.
Milan are playing with real purpose in the final third, as a string of passes are put together, initiated through Ibrahimovic's fine hold-up play, but Muntari's through ball is intercepted just in time by Munoz!
GREAT CHANCE! Miccoli's looping free kick into the box finds the head of Budan, as he jumps ahead of everyone else, but his attempt whistles just wide of the target!
Two potential chances from Palermo as they step up their search for an equaliser. First up it's Miccoli who cuts into the box and rifles a low shot at Abbiati, before Ilicic plays in Bertolo, but the Uruguayan's effort is blocked for a corner.
Goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic
IBRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Muntari goes down to intercept a loose ball, which falls to Robinho, but the Brazilian forward doesn't dilly-dally, as he immediately knocks the ball forward to the Swede, who executes a curling finish past Viviano! 1-0 Milan.
ILICIC! Well, almost! He turns away from his marker and surges towards goal, but his disguised pass to slip Miccoli through is well read by Bonera!
Ambrosini loses the ball in midfield as Ilicic proceeds to whip a diagonal cross into the Milan box, but Abbiati is the first to grab the ball!
OOO! Ibra tries to turn 'it' on, as he is swamped with numerous pink shirts in the Palermo 18-yard area, but he cannot shake them off and the ball eventually ends up with Viviano.
A potential penalty shout? Barreto is frustrated as he appears to have been barged down illegally by Abate, but both players fall to the ground hurt. The full-back receives treatment and it's a free kick to Milan.
Palermo are struggling to contain Milan's energy in the middle of the park, as Muntari collects the ball from Robinho, but again his attempt is fired off-target!
Non-stop action here in Sicily as Abate slips through Nocerino, but he sees his shot deflected for a corner. However, the resulting set-piece ends in a free kick to Palermo, as Ibrahimovic is adjudged to have gone in too hard on Migliaccio in the box.
Lovely interchange play between Barreto and Miccoli sets the Paraguayan on his way, as he leaves Nocerino for dead, but his strike is straight at Abbiati!
Palermo need to be more careful in possession as Donati is the guilty party this time, losing possession in the centre circle. Muntari charges at the Rosanero box, but again he shoots well over!
It's Muntari's turn to crack an attempt at goal, courtesy of more adventurous wing play by Abate, but the Ghanaian's strike sails over hopelessly.
Impressive run towards Milan's goal through Budan, but the burly Croat is stopped in his tracks by the indomitable Thiago Silva and possession is squandered by the hosts!
Palermo try to break back, but they are thwarted as Milan press on once more. Again Abate finds Emanuelson on the edge of the box, but his lot shot is straight at Viviano!
CLOSE!!! Straight from the corner, Emanuelson finds himself on his own in the box with Viviano in front of him, but his shoots the ball into side-netting!
Great start to the match, and it's Abate again who fires another low cross across goal, but Migliaccio intervenes and puts the ball out for a corner!
The set-piece amounts to nothing, as Donati can only head the ball into Abbiati's hands.
Bonera commits the first foul of the game, a cynical trip on an onrushing Miccoli! Free kick to Palermo, which is taken quickly by the No. 10.
And the match is underway, with Milan in white shirts going right to left. They start positively down the right flank through Abate, but his low cross is hacked away! Nocerino has another bite of the cherry, although his shot goes way over the bar.
And as always, follow the game with me on Twitter @livmc! Get involved and immerse yourselves in the thick of the action!
A capacity crowd is present at the Renzo Barbera, as the home side look to play the part of the 12th man for Palermo! However, both sides find themselves in a rich vein of form, despite last weekend's disappointments. This one could definitely go either way!
Both teams opt for subtle changes from their previous outings, but the biggest news is the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the Rossoneri! However, it remains to be seen how much the absence of experienced head Federico Balzaretti at the back for the hosts' will be felt.
And last but not least AC Milan: Abbiati; Abate, Bonera, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Nocerino, Ambrosini, Muntari; Emanuelson; Ibrahimovic, Robinho. Subs: Amelia, Yepes, Mesbah, Zambrotta, Van Bommel, El Shaarawy, Inzaghi.
First up here's how Palermo will line up: Viviano; Munoz, Migliaccio, Mantovani, Pisano; Barreto, Donati, Bertolo; Ilicic; Budan, Miccoli. Subs: Tzorvas, Acquah, Della Rocca, Milanovic, Zahavi, Hernandez, Vazquez.
