Ancelotti's men have suffered defeat on the Cote d'Azur, and he must be feeling that he is in a perilous position here. What a turnaround for Nice. Join me again on Tuesday for Champions League live between PSG and FC Porto. Until then, keep it here on Goal.com for the rest of tonight's encounters.
90' + 4'
FT! NICE 2-1 PSG! What a game. And a fantastic win!
90' + 4'
We are well above the three added minutes - a really controversial end.
90' + 3'
Yellow/Red Blaise Matuidi
90' + 2'
Yellow Card Zlatan Ibrahimovic
90' + 2'
RED CARD - Blaise Matuidi. What a silly attack there, to stain a fantastic season for him.
90' + 2'
PSG are losing their minds here. This week, there have been reports of dressing room discontent - and Matuidi has just pushed the goalkeeper! He's already on a yellow remember
90' + 1'
Oh well, he's certainly struck the Nice man, and really should've been sent off. The referee consults with his linesman, and IT'S JUST A YELLOW! Cue huge boos.
Free-kick awarded to Nice, as Pastore's header in towards Ibrahimovic. who has appeared to strike a Nice defender. Play has been stopped here.
THREE MINUTES ADDED ON AT THE END OF THE SECOND HALF!
Substitution for Nice - Cvitanich goes off to a standing ovation, and in his place comes 16 year old Neal Maupay. They are on the brink here.
The Stade du Ray is again up in arms, a fantastic goal by Eysseric, only his second of the season. Ibrahimovic and co look absolutely stunned. It was a superb volley, past a bamboozled Douchez.
Assist Eric Bautheac
Goal Valentin Eysseric
GOOAAL! NICE 2-1 PSG! The hosts have done it! What a fantastic goal by Valentin Eysseric. Virtually a peripheral figure over the course of the game, and an amazing volley at the far post, lovely connection with the cross from the wing.
The visitors have stepped up their efforts in order to gain a smash-and-grab victory. Alex heads over, but a free-kick is given after an infringement in the box.
Goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Ibrahimovic strikes with his 13th league goal of the season, and again a priceless one for Carlo Ancelotti and Paris Saint-Germain. They did not deserve it, but it was a fantastic goal.
GOAL! Nice 1-1 PSG - Ibrahimovic! An amazing free-kic, powered past Ospina. And the Stade du Ray is silenced! He's got them out of jail AGAIN!
Foul outside the area, and Ibrahimovic stands over a free-kick just outside the box. Massive concern from the home defence....
Final substitution for PSG - Hoarau comes on for Chantome - we now have an attacking quintet of Lavezzi, Menez, Pastore, Hoarau and Ibrahimovic - a 4-1-5?
Ancelotti's side have not lost away from home so far this season in Ligue 1, and with rumours that he is under pressure after a shock cup exit - this scoreline will not appease his Qatari bosses. Where can they get the equaliser from?!
PASTORE! Oh, what a fantastic effort, and a superb save by the brilliant Ospina. The substitute showed incredible poise to hammer in an effort on the far side, but was denied well by his South American compatriot.
Well, what a game we have on our hands ! Claude Puel's men were knocking on the door and deservedly lead. Stade du Ray is ROCKING! Can PSG equalise? Ancelotti's men are in serious trouble.
Goal Eric Bautheac
GOOAAL!! NICE 1-0 PSG! Eric Bautheac is the goalscorer, but the plaudits all go to Dario Cvitanich! Fantastic, and outrageous piece of skill to get away from Alex, as his intiial shot is saved with Bautheac tapping in. The hosts are deservedly ahead!
The game is really opening up now, as tensions rise. Van der Wiel combines with Lavezzi, but the Argentine is unable to get a foothold on the ball in the box.
DOUCHEZ Fantastic save to deny Civelli. He has been a real livewire in this game as the Argentine is denied what would've been a well deserved goal. PSG have been let off twice!
PENALTY?! NO! Ibrahimovic was deemed to have handballed. The hosts fans are furious, but referee Ruddy Buquet points for a corner - it certainly looked like handball!
Before the free-kick is taken - a substitution has been made. Meanwhile, Bautheac drills in the ball, but it's cannoned off the wall. Fabrice Abriel has come on for Jeremy Pied.
Elsewhere in Ligue 1, Bordeaux have taken the lead against Sochaux, as Nancy have equalised in Evian. Meanwhile, back in Nice - the host have a free-kick after Alex illegally lunged in on Cvitanich. The PSG players are up in arms over that. Free-kick just outside the box.
Gregory van der Wiel
Substitutions for PSG - Gregory van der Wiel and Javier Pastore come on for Sylvain Armand and Christophe Jallet. Can the duo contribute to breaking the deadlock?
MENEZ! Terrific shot, and a fantastic save by Ospina, as Pecjinovic clears away hurriedly. Would've been a sensational goal there - his composure in front of goal looked fantastic, as he attempted the audacious. The volley was superbly palmed away.
IBRAHIMOVIC! Oh, that had to be the goal. Massive scare for the back four as the Swede shows immense strength to hold off Civelli, and his angled shot just flashes past the post. Fantastic pass from Matuidi to make the chance.
Traore appears caught by Ibrahimovic, but the midfielder - who has slipped in and out of the game so far - is fit to continue. 24 minutes left for PSG to go for the win.
Tension increases as PSG for once, continue to hold down the ball as Nice struggle to clear their own lines. Menez's cross evades everyone in the box, as referee halts play as Mahamane Traore is down.
Huge cheers of 'ole' as Digard and Pied combine passes to bamboozle Sylvain Armand. The hosts' faithful revert to their powerful boos as PSG maintain possesison. Chantome however, loses the ball with a poor back-pass for Jallet.
Poor delivery, as the corner intended for Civelli, goes all the way to Douchez. Neither side have had a gilt-edged chance in this second half so far.
Genevois attempts to make progress down the right after brilliant work from Cvitanich to retain the ball. Armand however, does not let the cross go past him, as the hosts win a corner.
Hour gone, and it's still a very scrappy 0-0 at the Stade du Ray. PSG faced a similar resistance against Nancy at the end of October, and a moment of magic from Zlatan Ibrahimovic got them the victory. Can the same happen this evening?
Fury from the Nice fans as Menez appears to dive after seeing the ball run away from him. Moments later, Cvitanich wins a foul from Thiago Silva's poor challenge. Free-kick to the hosts.
DIGARD! Speculative, audacious, and it would've been spectacular, but the former Middlesborough midfielder sees his long-range effort fly high and wide.
Cvitanich and Pied combine before les Parisiens break with their renowned fluidity as Menez races forward, but his through ball intended for Lavezzi does not meet its destination.
Remember that Olympique Lyonnais remain five points ahead of PSG currently, with Remi Garde's men set to play PSG later in the month before Christmas. Failure to win here, would be unthinkable.
And the wall holds itself as Paris Saint-Germain continue to fail offensively, as the hosts' rearguard maintain their defensive superiority over the capital club.
Digard with a foul on Lavezzi, as the referee hands a free-kick to PSG about 30 metres out. Zlatan is over this one again, as the home fans welcome him with a barrage of boos.
Ibrahimovi lets out a wry smile after holding off the challenge of the small stature of Eric Bautheac, as the Nice man trips up at the feet of the tall Sweden international.
The winger duo of Lavezzi and Menez really coming into this game now after a rather dormant first 45 minutes. The defensive duo of Pecjinovic and Civelli have, however, been arguably the two best players of this match so far.
MENEZ! Quick-fire Parisian attack, as Lavezzi picks out Menez with a brilliant low cross. The winger immediately goes for a clever back pass towards Ibrahimovic, who is dneied by a superb reflex block by Civelli.
Kolodziejczak with a speculative cross from the left, which lands at the top of Douchez's crossbar. He's been quiet since the first few minutes. Elsewhere in Ligue 1 - it's Bordeaux 1-1 Sochaux, and Evian have takena 1-0 lead v bottom side Nancy
Yellow Card Blaise Matuidi
Ibrahimovic in acres of space down this left wing, and totally unmarked, he proceeds to cross first-time towards the rushing Lavezzi. It's an easy take for David Ospina.
Maxwell combines with Armand, and feeds the ball across the midfield towards Jallet. Crossed in by the former captain, and with Ibrahimovic lurking, Pecjinovic is there once more.
The hosts have started this second half brightly, as Cvitanich and Pied combine, before being stopped in their tracks by Thiago Silva. Maxwell forced to hurriedly clear away moments later.
Second half underway in Paris. No substitutions to report from the interval.
The referee calls for half-time with no injury time added on in a very competitive first half on the Cote d'Azur. Ezequiel Lavezzi spurned the best chance, though the hosts have been bright. Join me in 15 minutes for the second half.
HALF-TIME: OGC NICE 0-0 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN
Corner from Menez is an easy catch for Ospina, who appears to be caught by the loose leg of Thiago Silva. The goalkeeper is alright, however.
Free-kick won by Lavezzi after being hauled to the ground. Just three minutes left of a pretty scrappy and competitive first half on the south coast of France.
Digard attempts to race into the box is easily picked off by Thiago Silva, who expertly dispossesses the opposing captain, though PSG cannot at the moment keep a positive hold on possession.
IBRAHIMOVIC! Lovely ontrol, but the angle, and the subsequent shot like it, was very poor by his standards. Great inswinger from Menez, but the 31-year-old can't get a clean hit on it.
Maxwell attempts to bring an attacking influence to a lagging forward line as he passes a fine ball towards Menez, whose prospective cross was denied by Pied.
78% of readers believe PSG will win this match, compared to 17% for Nice. So far in this first half, the hosts have edged this one, I'd say. Comment on the chatbox to your right, for your input.
Oh, that's pretty dangerous. Jallet has been given the run around by Bautheac, who he has just proceeded to connect his boot with the Nice winger's face. Luckily for him, it was accidental as the hosts are given a free-kick.
Continued inspiration from Bautheac who just cruelly nutmegs an unsuspecting Jallet before delivering in a wayward cross which just narrowly flies above the head of Cvitanich.
Increasing pressure on PSG as Bautheac's free-kick is spilled by Douchez, who appears to be nowhere, before Cvitanich's low drilled effort is cleared away hurriedly for a corner. The hosts' fans are seriously up for this one, as they continue their unrelenting chanting.
Yellow Card Sylvain Armand
Free-kick to Nice as Armand fouls Pied about 30 metres out. Armand protests his innocence but he is booked by referee Ruddy Buquet.
The best chance of the game so far, and Lavezzi has spurned it! Meanwhile Eysseric makes progress in midfield, picking out Cvitanich, but he is thwarted by Jallet's sliced deflection into Alex.
LAVEZZI! Well, well, well that should've been 1-0. Maxwell latches onto a fine pass on the left wing, to pull play back to Ibrahimovic. The Swede tees himself up to fire at Ospina, who spills the initial effort and Lavezzi fires the rebound over the bar. Oh no no no!
Ospina once more guilty of a lazy clearance as his poor ball lands at the feet of Ibrahimovic - who is denied by another fantastic block by Nemanja Pecjinovic. He really is up for it this evening.
PSG have had just two attempts in the opening 28 minutes, compared to the host's six - have a look at the statistics provided on the tabs in this MatchCentre page. Elsewhere in France, it's 0-0 in the other three matches, with Valenciennes still 1-0 ahead v Reims.
Yellow Card Jérémy Pied
Ibrahimovic - met with a cacophony of noise from the home fans launches a low free-kick through the wall - similar to the one in which he scored against England - but it meekly goes out for a goal-kick.
Clumsy from Pied - and he is rightfully booked. The threat from Menez breaking from a corner has troubled some defenders, and Pied has made sure that the winger won't progress with a rash challenge which has seen him become the first player booked.
Fine attacking movement by Cvitanich, who lays off Pied on the right wing. The corresponding cross is picked out by Jallet, who concedes a corner. Bautheac to take, it's not a great delivery, and finally cleared by Matuidi.
Lavezzi becoming more and more active as he aims to break down the resistance of the Nice rearguard. Good opening for the Argentine, but he cannot quite beat off the challenge of Ospina, who rushes to collect the ball.
At the other end, it's Nice who attempt to open the scoring as Valentin Eysseric's movement down the left is unchecked, leaving him to fire wide against Douchez's goal. Poor effort, not well taken.
PSG knocking at the door, as Pecjinovic again uses his body well to deflect a threatening Ibrahimovic ball for a corner. From the set-piece, Menez's ball causes further problems, which sees Ezequiel Lavezzi see a chance clattered off Civelli.
20 minutes gone here in Nice, and it's still OGC Nice 0-0 PSG - what do you make of proceedings so far? What are your predictions? Send me your comments to the Goal.com chatbox to your right, and do not forget to rate this match at the top of your page.
IBRAHIMOVIC! Oh, fantastic movement. The Swede is well known for producing something out of virtually nothing, and innocuously, he fires in a low effort when it appeared he would pick out Maxwell on the left. It's a great effort, and just wide of Ospina's goal.
Double half-chance for Nice here, as Bautheac drills in a low cross before the ball falls to Cvitanich whose powerful shot is well deflected by Jallet.
Nice, under Claude Puel, have become a sterner outfit, than the side who would normally capitulate easily against the top sides. That said, the Stade du Ray is a difficult place to come - PSG would do well to get a win here.
Elsewhere in Ligue 1 this evening, there are four other games kicking off simultaneously. Valenciennes are 1-0 ahead v Stade de Reims, as Lille are currently goalless with SC Bastia.
Very scrappy start to proceedings in Nice as Ancelotti fumes at the lack of possession his side are currently seeing. Neither side can hold onto the ball for large periods of time.
Ibrahimovic gains possession on the far wing as he attempts to manage his way out of a packed midfield. He attempts to bamboozle Genevois, but his low cross in is cleared by Traore.
Chantome powering through the midfield, with a fine defensive showing to hold off his marker, but his low through ball towards Lavezzi is cut out well by Digard as Pied attempts to reclaim possession.
Jallet attempts a lofted ball towards Lavezzi, before it is cut out by the towering Kolodziejczak. Menez and Ibrahimovic looking a little isolated in these early exchanges.
KOLODZIEJCZAK! Fantastic mazy run by the ex-Lyon defender, who races through the middle, dribbling well before unleashing a low shot which in the end is a comfortable take for Douchez.
CVITANICH! Oh, what a poor moment for Armand as he is cruelly caught in possession. Pied's cross into the box towards Cvitanich is somehow heroically headed away first by Christophe Jallet. Almost 1-0.
Free-kick awarded to Nice as Bautheac again whips in a threatening delivery, but it sails easily into the arms of Nicholas Douchez, as PSG look to build offensively.
It's Nice who break now with Romain Genevois down the right, but his delivery into the box is headed away easily by Thiago Silva. The captain will want to redeem himself after missing the penalty which contributed to PSG's Coupe de la Ligue exit.
Oh, lucky Ospina got away with that - a short pass towards the goalkeeper by Pecjinovic then met with a rather lazy clearance. Luckily, Mahamane Traore at the ready to ensure that possession remains with the hosts.
A raucous start to proceedings here on the Mediterranean, if not exactly replicated on the pitch. Chantome attempts to pick out Menez in the middle, but it's well cut out by Civelli.
No Sirigu this evening, as PSG look towards cup goalkeeper Nicholas Douchez to fill in for the injured Italian. Meanwhile, Menez with a very high foot, lucky not to have connected with Digard there.
Free-kick already awarded to the hosts, and it's whipped in by Bautheac - a brilliant ball in, but headed over by Pecjinovic. Already a nervy moment for the visitors to contend with.
UNDERWAY ON THE COTE D'AZUR! PSG in their white away kit, with Nice in their traditional red and black. Ruddy Buquet is the referee.
A few empty seats in the side normally reserved for the away fans, But nevertheless, the Stade du Ray is ROCKING! Minutes away from kick-off.
TEAM NEWS Carlo Ancelotti continues to drop Javier Pastore to the bench due to confidence, with Jeremy Menez and Ezequiel Lavezzi again preferred to flank Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Mohamed Sissoko is replaced by Clement Chantome, with Marco Verratti and goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu ruled out through injury. Thiago Silva captains the side despite Christophe Jallet starting, in what could be perceived as a signal of intent by the Italian trainer. Nice are as they were, with Jeremy Pied preferred to Camel Meriem, as Valentin Eysseric shifted to the middle of an attacking quartet, behind the threatening Cvitanich.
OGC NICE: Ospina - Genevois, Civelli, Pejcinovic, Kolodzieczak – Digard (cap), Traoré – Pied, Eysseric, Bauthéac – Cvitanich
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN: Douchez- Jallet, Thiago Silva (cap), Alex, Armand - Matuidi, Chantome, Maxwell - Menez, Lavezzi - Ibrahimovic
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
A few statistics: Nice have not beaten Paris Saint-Germain in four encounters, with their last victory coming in March 2010. Les Aiglons are the only side to have not conceded a goal to Carlo Ancelotti's PSG side since the Italian took over at the end of December in 2011. Nice have found the net in their last 12 league encounters. Ancelotti's men are the only side in Ligue 1 to be unbeaten away from home so far this season. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been involved in 14 of the club's 23 league goals this season.
Meanwhile, Nice are on a decent run of form, as they continue their transformation under Claude Puel. Les Aiglons have moved into the top ten recently, in contrast to their usual flirts with relegation, and in former Ajax striker Dario Cvitanich they have a real goalscorer in their ranks. Can he fire them to a shock victory tonight?
With just three competitions left to fight for, the league has become of the utmost importance for the capital club, and currently they sit FIVE points behind Olympique Lyonnais at the top of the table, as Remi Garde's side beat Montpellier 1-0 earlier this evening. Defeat here, and this 'crisis' may become something much more uglier.
Paris Saint-Germain's sticky form took a new twist on Tuesday evening, as they suffered defeat in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue. A 0-0 draw on the night after extra time at the Stade Geoffrey Guichard saw Carlo Ancelotti's men fall on penalties, with Thiago Silva missing the important spot-kick as PSG succumbed 5-3.
