Mumbai FC and Pailan Arrows face-off against each other in an I-League encounter at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune on Friday.
With the game being telecast live, the kick-off shall be at 7 P.M, providing the players and fans, relief from the energy sapping heat, which they would have faced in an afternoon clash.
Pailan Arrows will also be hoping to see an improvement in their fortunes in the results department, as an early season surge has now given way to some mediocre results in recent times.
Arthur Papas’ side have won just once in their last ten games, and would have been looking nervously over their shoulder at the relegation zone, if there was a privision of them going down!
The Australian’s announcement that he shall be leaving at the end of the season, will have done nothing to improve the mood inside the camp.
And they shall have their task cut-out against an efficient and physical Mumbai FC outfit, who have, with their combination of graft and some under-hand tactics, have become the team other clubs hate to face-off against.
Yusif Yakubu provides the inspiration to this hard-working side, as Khalid Jamil’s side is largely based around his creative genius.
Haroon Amiri also has been in good form at the back, and Mumbai FC will be hoping to finish the season with a flourish, with the club having already almost surely secured survival this campaign, which was their agenda, at the start of the season.
Mumbai FC: Khalid Jamil is expected to retain the same personnel that lost narrowly to Salgaocar. With Pailan Arrows on a downward spiral, the experience of the likes of Yusif Yakubu will come in handy to ensure that the young Arrows have their hands full.
Pailan Arrows: Arthur Papas will be without Pranoy Halder. The Aussie coach may also have to make do without Holicharan Narzary and Alwyn George.
