Napoli did not have a single shot on goal tonight. Enough said. He might as well have watched from the stands.
Did very well upfront and was stable at the back. Made a few telling passes before being substituted by Massimo Oddo in the 81st minute.
Impeccable display by the Brazilian. Strong in the tackle and always at the right place at the right time. Made a ghost of Cavani together with Nesta.
Was not really troubled at the back, and looked rusty going forward. He still seems to be short on fitness.
World-class performance from the veteran. Rock-solid at the back and gave nothing away. Assisted Pato's late strike.
M. van Bommel
Probably his best performance in Rossoneri shirt. Distributed the ball superbly and was strong in the tackle. Unlucky not to score twice and covered a lot of ground.
Kept his nerves today, but was far from being Mary Poppins tonight. Tackled hard and ran like a horse, but seemed a bit tired in the end. Tried to contribute as much as he can in attack as well.
Worked hard in the centre of the pitch, but was poor going forward with his shooting being atrocious. Never shy with his tackling tonight.
How exactly he managed not to look good against a very poor Napoli side is beyond me. Almost nothing he tried came off and was substituted by Kevin-Prince Boateng shortly after the break.
Took his penalty well and was integral to the Rossoneri's attack tonight. Opened space for others and made a few brilliant passes.
Brilliant performance from the Brazilian. Involved into the situation that led to Aronica's handball in Napoli's box, assisted Boateng's strike and put the icing on the cake with an impeccable goal of his own. What more can you want?
M. De Sanctis
Had no chance with the penalty, but could probably have done better with the other two goals. Pulled off some good saves, but did not really impress with his command of the area.
Pretty frustrating night for the defender who looked rooted to the spot for most of the game. Merely an observer as Pato powered through to score the third.
Had a hard night against Pato and Ibrahimovic and generally disappointed. At fault for Boateng's strike.
Much running, but no end product once again. His 'crosses' barely reflect the definition.
Did very well to frustrate Milan in the first half with a good performance at the back. His performance dramatically dropped after the break, conceding a penalty and failing to deal with Milan's dynamic play.
He may have outplayed Bruno last week, but stood no chance against Van Bommel, Gattuso and Flamini. Chased shadows for most of the game.
Pretty much invisible. Got behind Jankulovsi a couple of times in the first half, but that was it from him tonight.
Tried hard in the first half, but just gave up after the break. Received little support as well, but he really could have done better.
Destroyed in the centre of the pitch. Failed to exert himself on the game and Napoli completely lost the midfield battle.
Unlucky to be flagged for offside in the 17th minute and gave his all in the first half. Merely a ghost after the break as he gave up just like his team mates.
Isolated for large parts of the game and failed to create anything of note upfront. Substituted after the break for Zuniga.
- 1 M. Amelia
- 76 M. Yepes
Replaced Marek Jankulovski in the 72nd minute and played well in defence as well as in attack.
- 10 C. Seedorf
Scored a wonderful goal and impressed every time he went forward. Made a few good passes and tackles as well.
- 99 A. Cassano
